buddy of mine said his ses light randomly shut off and he gained a **** load of power..All he has is a 3600 stall and tru duals. How much power can you possibly gain? like 10hp ? He made it sound like 50

hes probably an idiot. the ses light can limit power in certain situations. "shutting off the light" means you cleared the pcm of any data it stored and soon enough it will come back once the conditions are met. so i think hes an ass
umm why is his ses light on?

If the computer sent the car into limp mode when the light was on then yes it could have gained a bunch when the light went off since limp mode makes the engine run pig rich and pulls timing to "limp" the vehicle to a shop not cruise it around while staring at the pretty light.

Scan the car and find out what code it is. If it's a blinking misfire code for something obscene like 6 out of 8 cylinders, then all of a suddent it went off, then yes... you will get a ****load of power back. I would be more curious as to why it randomly went off, but I digress hahaha
