Hah.

Basicly it wasnt really reaping any benefit for him and is going to try a more local ad, something like an wall ad at Etown.

Yeah for the actual cost of advertising here it wouldn't take more than 1 new customer directly from this site per year to make that money back in most cases, for us it was a no brainer to sign on for another year here.

IIRC, $300 per year or $30 a month.

:cheers:We are happy with the response we are getting. We have been in business over 16 years and are primarily known in the Mustang market. We have always done alot of Camaro transmissions but the advertising never really took off in any of the GM based magazines for us. NJFBOA is a really good value for us. I have been trying to get some of our venders to get on here? this is a really nice place. Looked into the ls1 deal. That deal is really pricey over there. We like it here. Happy to be a supporter. plus i don't really pay attention to sponsors on ls1tech because most of them are so far away, never thought to check if any of em were local

 one of the sponsors was having a deal and i bought something, well he was in cali so the shipping made up for the savings :banghead:

^ hahah. there's a sponsor i found on there that has free shipping on almost everything and is close enough that the shipping only takes about 2 days most of the time. pretty sickkk.

i REALLY doubt that. take a look at the thread count on lsx. theres barely anyone there, and the thread are all made and posted by the same group of people. tech has thousands and thousands of members, to barely a few hundred at lsx. many of the tech members really dont give a **** about the website politics, myself included. i couldnt care less if nineball or anyone else got screwed over. thats their problem. i use the site for information, not to worry about some douchey website owners. not to mention many members on tech dont post very often, or bother to read the lounge section, so they wouldnt even know about plsx.

sweetbmxrider
04-14-2009, 08:06 PM
very true. it seemed they cleaned up the bs on tech and its all better now. i find it is a great source for info. you can find pretty much everything and someone has either tried it or given it a lot of thought.

MonmouthCtyAntz

theres nobody on planetlsx...tech still has the same volume as usual....i check planetlsx from time to time but theres nothing new

NJSPEEDER

I have a feeling PlanetLSx has found the niche they were going for. They wanted a more professional atmosphere with real automotive coverage and more adult discussion. The amount of bad tech, bad moderating, and clique posting in a lot of the forums was getting old for a lot of us. Although, Vendetta has to be about the funniest moderator I have ever seen in my life.

I think they were expecting more tech guys to be over there by now but honestly how many sites do you really need to talk about the same thing. This place is different because were all local. Besides tech's search function stinking they pretty much cover all basis.

Cause its frustrating to try and talk advanced tech or even have that sub forum when it gets crowed with tart carts asking advice on how to change oil etc etc.

sweetbmxrider
04-15-2009, 07:53 PM
i have never seen a thread on how to change oil

edit: oh wait not here. HA! yeah people know things and do them

either that or it's just the opposite. I know he had a few things listed for sale and said it's better to call the shop than PM him because they are so busy.

yea, it probably has to do with the fact that they have an AWD dyno, idk how many places in jersey have them.

Yea it was like all of a sudden Matt stopped answering pm,etc on all boards. I also know he sold some built car over on tech which broke on the strip shortly after and the kid who bought it and Matt from TTP in Little Falls were going at it over on LS1tech, it actually got kinda ugly. The TTP in TR(9&37) is pricey...he quoted me something like 1100 bucks for a Ls1 header install. When I told him it couldnt be right he came back w/ a 7xx.xx price  .

sweetbmxrider

eh i guess its a little high. depends if its long tubes with a custom y and cats/no cats race headers.
