I collect everything related to 1991 Firebird and came across this brochure recently on eBay from AutoLit.com. I have the 1991 Firebird brochures from Belgium/ Germany/ France/ and Canada. This is from Japan and is written in their language. It lists all the GM cars that were exported to Japan to include Cadillac-Buick-Chevrolet and Pontiac. If you notice in the pictures, there are several changes made to the Camaro and Firebird that were not made to those models sold in Europe. The change in the Camaro are the black SIDE VIEW mirrors. The Trans Am also has the same mirrors, but check out the picture of the GTA. It has the normal Firebird tail lights (not the GTA style) but the biggest surprise was the addition of BLACK FENDER FLARES. I have never seen these mods on any pictures of these cars.
the yellow(amber) light is a rear requirement in japan, hence the export lt1 taillights.
i have export 3rd gen camaro taillights. i have yet to see a 2nd set in person

Whats with the sideview mirrors? And the fender flares on the bird on #3?

I'm assuming they needed to be a generic/specific size for the export cars?
the mirrors are like that due to all European(and i guess all export) vehicles requireing folding side mirrors, due to more narrow streets, they have them for 4th gens too, i almost bought a set once.
similar issue is that in Europe at least, all camaros(4th gens at a min) have firebird/trans am seats due to a regulation requiring adjustable headrests
