January Meet - Firkin Tavern - Saturday, 1/29

We are kicking the year off by revisiting one of the classic NJFBOA meet locations, the Firkin Tavern in Ewing, home of the first ever official NJFBOA meet over six years ago in September 2004.

We have limited space available in the game room at Firkin, and we are setting up a pre-payment that will run through 8:00pm Wednesday January 26th. The cost of the meet is $25 per person prepaid, and $30 at the door on the day of the meet. Please send prepayments via PayPal to paypal@NJFBOA.org, please be sure to include your username and your full name with your payment so we make sure to give the correct person credit. If you would rather pay with a check or cash, please send me a Private Message ASAP so we can make arrangements before the pre-pay deadline.

The menu will be much the same as previous years, we will have buffet with caesar salad, chicken parmesan, fettuccine alfredo, and a new addition this year - buffalo wings :). There will also be several pitchers of soda available, and for those that are 21+, we will be in the game room right next to Firkin's bar, where they have plenty on tap (for additional charges). The game room has pool tables, dart boards, and air hockey available for our use.

The meet is also a good time to pick up one of our new club T-Shirts or some NJFBOA vinyl at a discounted rate. Please feel free to bring your friends and families to join in the fun as we kick off another year in style.

That's a bold statement! :lol: I was at the Firkin last night and that pothole is still there at the back of the parking lot. If you pull straight in all the way to the back and make the left, go slow, there is a big pothole as you make the left.

OK clearing a few things up.

1) I (and most sensible people) do not drive my nice cars in crappy weather becasue in the northeast they use what is called salt and calcium chloride on the roads. When it gets on nice cars it makes them not nice. The only alternative is to spend three hours cleaning a car that I only drove for an hour... Not fun.. That is what beaters are for..

2) It is to my understanding that there has been trash talking between the two JS's started already and while I am not going to get in the middle of it I just want to let the people involved know that one of them is a very large, angry man and apologizing to him is much better than the alternative. (No one liks an E-thug)

3) Playing air hockey with me is described by the surgeon general as "causes compound fractures of the fingers, hand, and face" so I wouldnt reccomend it.. You cant play with a broken hand and winning by default is still a win!! :mrgreen:

4) I do have a thing for Italian brunettes but no Snookie.... NEVER Snookie..

Just an update for everyone who is afraid of snow: the roads here in Ewing are pretty much all clear, at least any roads that non-locals would be traveling on to get to Firkin. Can't wait to see everyone tomorrow!
