If I have my info correct, the rebirth of the Mad Max franchise should be happening in 2013 or 14. Tom Hardy [played Bane in the last Batman flick] will be the "new" Max, and the first installment should be known as "Fury Road." Shooting wrapped up this past Dec., and now the film will be in editing for CGI and coversion to 3-D. So, by the grace of God, THE ROAD WARRIOR WILL BE BACK! And unstable bob gable, THE AMERICAN ROAD WARRIOR will have a Mad Max worthy machine to drive to the flick. :)

I hope there isn't too much cg (too much of that stuff in movies today, unrealistic). Thats why the originals are soo good. I could just see a remake of smokey and the bandit (hopefully one day) would instead have the bird jump over the Mississippi instead of a simple stream...heaven forbid.

If I'm not mistaken there will be some kind of Aussie Falcon used, but don't know if it will be the same year/model as the classic Interceptor

I hear ya on that. Stunts in the orig. were mind blowing and "real." I watched a high def copy of The Road Warrior on a friend's HUGE big screen, and it blew me away, especially stunt wise. I read that George Miller [the director] wanted to stay as real as possible w/ the filming.

This could be pretty good, Though the number one movie i'm excited for is Man Of Steel.

I'd pick a Holden of some sort to be in the movie (foreign flare like the original but v8 sound and bad-ass-ness), but then GM can't make a crappy interpretation to make a special edition of in the states, (a la' transformers edition 5th gen).

I'm sure there will be a mix of all the home grown Aussie brands. I've seen spy picts of some really wild home brewed vehicles that look like they were build out of anything that was grabbed at a junkyard lol
