O RLY? Why not do 10 pounds 500 times?

LTb1ow 06-02-2009 08:53 AM

I dunno, whatever floats your boat I suppose.

I think he mentioned he was a basket ball player, so building good upper and lower body endurance versus quick strength is probably more desirable.

You guys need to look up century workouts if you are into ultra high rep stuff. They can be tough to finish.

madness410 06-02-2009 11:08 AM

lol some of those are tough..try putting up a 45 lb bar 60 times it gets hard as hell

JerzLT1 06-02-2009 11:51 AM

starting next week ill be doing a new work out plan that consists of 4 miles a day jogging/running and 10 miles with 25 lbs on my back 3 times a week at a fast paced march, once that gets easy itll go to 60lbs. this is on top of my normal weight training work outs. no im not trying to get big just be very well rounded

yeah youtube frank yang. check his trainin vid out. when u say 38x straight on bench, are you going all the way up to where u lockout or almost lock out or just halfway? ive seen guys claim to do 50x but they only go half way, not all the way up. just curious is all :D

ill check it out now, and yes i go up all the way (almost lock out) and down to 90 degrees

i do that before i start my chest workout once every other (or every other 2nd) chest workout... not every time, as for push ups i weigh 200lbs i have not really tried to go that far with them but ill give it a try...

Knees are probably even more of a concern. Keep it off of the asphalt.

98tadriver 06-03-2009 12:06 AM

i pulled most of the stuff i do from the arnold encyclopedia, started doing that around May of last year with a few friends of mine. ill change it up eventually

The running will be on asphalt the weight will be in more of a dirt area hopefully, I would be concerned if these weren't the things that will be required for the career field I'm hopefully going into

madness410 06-03-2009 01:13 PM

i wonder if the weights will still have the same effects on an elliptical

procamaroz28 06-03-2009 01:20 PM

ron, i checked out that youtube vid that guy is insane, 63" box leap is insane, thanks...

LTb1ow 06-06-2009 11:00 AM

I started to do more stretchs and the ache seems to have gone away, but I also dropped some weight and am really trying to get a perfect form.

That being said, I can now bench a 4L60E. LOL Yessss

I was about to say, if anyone wants to know anything about muscles, excercises, diets or just about anything relating to lifting buy this book.
This encyclopedia is like the Bible for lifting lol, if anyone wants to borrow it let me know my copy is just sitting on my shelf.

LTb1ow 06-11-2009 12:15 PM

Annnnnd a combo of superpump and a great mindset made for a great lift this morning, added a full set to my workout. :)
