When we saw the yellow LS9 powered 69 (nicknamed jackass, a lol-nod at 'the mule') last year we were blown away at the build quality and the way it all looked so simple, OE and unassuming.

ABS is very impressive and to date not something the DIY guy can do. Being a GM engineer sure helps him get this accomplished. But it is build like this that help get the ball rolling for the rest of us. True retrofit ABS is probably going to appear in the next few years. But this tells you a bit of the difficulties involved. Not mentioned is the reprogramming that you & me can't do.

Good lord

Flat torque curve anyone? :) Dashed line is the LS9 car from last year.

On the engine dyno before good tuning it made 800+ ft*lbs of torque through stock LS9 headers

I love looking at cool builds like this. Although I could never afford or honestly even know how to do some of this stuff, there are so many cool little details you can pick up for your own car. Or learn how to do something in a way you hadn't thought of. that was one of the best parts of SEMA last year, seeing all these cars up close & personal. Besides if looking at cars like this doesn't interest you then you need to question your 'car guy' credentials.

First I blew my trans a few months ago so had Josh at JS do a fully built trans with a 3200 stall. I also wanted to do the suspension so I went with Double adj. UMI pandhard rod, adj. LCA's, LCA reloc brackets, STB, SFC's and a Tq arm reloc kit. Then called up Sam Strano and got his springs and sway bars with koni 4/4's.

To top it all off my girl's brother in law owns Sound audio in hamilton and hooked me up 20% tint all the way around. {If anyone needs tint or audio work done pm me)

Plans for the next year include getting the front end resprayed (rock chips are driving me nuts) forged wheels CTS-V brakes and at least a cam.

Anyway on to the pics... sorry about the crappy quality and no befores I snapped them real quick as I was finishing up for the day (still need to polish the exhaust tips clean windows and do the interior/ engine bay. ) Also the surfaces were not flat for the pics so some of the pics make the car look higher then it actually is. There is right about a 2 finger wheel gap all the way around.

1995 Pontiac Trans Am M6

I traded my '97 GTP for this car about a year ago from a member. It had recently had a fresh engine, trans and clutch put in (12k miles ago) and I was looking for a change. It was in pretty good shape but needed a new opti, iac, wp, O2 sensors, and cats to run right and pass inspection. Now it runs like the LT1 equivalent of a swiss watch. Ha. It has a typical load of out mods: Moroso intake/TB coolant bypass, AIR/EGR delete, 160 thermo, PCMforless tune, MSD coil/wires, Pacesetter headers, WBT 3" metallic catted y and Hooker catback. It came with BMR SFC's and LCAs, and not too much has been done to the suspension other than a complete brake rebuild, line lock, and an adjustable PHB. Future plans are to do a suspension and rear end rebuild, but no rush. It's almost summertime.

Off-topic, but for the unaware, this once happened (hence the :nick: icon we now have):

Its by no means perfect by my standards anyway but i got out some of the light swirls that came from repeated quick detailing and waterless washes over the winter. The paint sealant i put on last oct was even still holding up pretty well as you can see in the first picture.

Basically just washed it then a single stage polish to strip the sealant and remove the light swirls and waxed sorry about the pictures the weather kept going from cloudy to sunny to rain then back to somewhat cloudy etc. i did get one awsome shot (the second one is closeup of the paint i caught the angle when i was backing the car up right after waxing it) Anyway heres a few of the pics.

Before beading shot to show the sealant still working half decently

Kyle Mitchell 1994 Camaro Z28

This is my '94 Camaro with CC503, Comp Pro Mags and Beehive 918 springs, Ls7 lifters,Pacesetter LT's, ORY, K&N intake, MadZ28 tune, Magnaflow exhaust, Dr's, etc. Its my first car and I don't ever see myself selling it. It has gone a best of 13.2 at 104 without the cam. This fall we will see what it does with the new cam and supporting mods.

I'm going to quote a few of them here, for ease of future use. I need to schedule a photoshoot with you soon, Alex
