tim

i know he desensitized his sensors ALOT i think he ramped up the decay rates a good bit too...I think theres room to play with it more but how much i cant say.

You mean... add weight to the car?!?!?!

no, i slapped in my wideband & did a little scanning & one flash...we didnt get back out to verify how close or far away he is from the perfect a/f though.

And how did you come up with this "perfect AFR"?

BTW, Congrats Craig! Awesome time and mph.

he was running at 12.2:1 from 4000-6400 rpms...im gonna try and get his af to 12.5-12.6:1 at 4000 & ~12.9-13.0:1 from 4600+

I was just busting your balls because a "perfect AFR" is the one that yeilds the best track results. If it's 11:1 so be it, so long as the engine is happy and the times reflect it.
When you lean out the AFR don't be suprised if you have to take out a little bit of timing. The reason for running slightly richer AFRs is to keep the cylinder temps down. Fuel cools things down because it increases the burn time. This means you can run more timing with a richer AFR. The closer to stoich (14.7) you get the less timing you can run, then running leaner than stoich (cruising highway mode) you can start adding the timing back in. Isn't tuning fun :)
