no outsourcing the work, you're getting your hands dirty!
and its possible to do valve seals too, but it would be easier to do it if the heads were off the motor. If you really want, we can take the whole top end off the motor and I'll bring my valve spring compressor and do the valve seals for ya. :) I actually have a valve/valve seat grinding machine in my garage, but if you want anything like that done, you're gonna have to pay me  |
nice! my car smokes like hell when I first get it started...what time do you guys think we should get started? and if you think your gonna be coming p me and Ill give yah my addy..
|
matt, about the rims: they are AR five spoke 16" black with a chrome beauty ring. you'll see them eventually and if you want them, they're yours for the asking. i might even help you refinish them.
about the cold: yeah, but i still need to get from my house to the car and then from the car to your garage. ever see the cartoons when they freeze someone who was running, then slow motion, then motionless? yeah, that's me in the cold. |
which headers, y-pipe, cat back are you using, where are you putting your cutout..

Nice this is gonna be awsome!, I have no clue what heads to get..Tim said vette l98 53cc head's but then some one else said not too. then "other" L98 heads wont work..I have hedman headers and cat..and the cut out I want before the cat...but some one said to get it after...and Im all confused..If there is enough people here my mom said we would get a 6 ft sub...

personally, I wouldnt be throwing a ton of money at your 305. Leave the heads, just clean them up. unless you can score some better heads for cheap, then go for it. If I were in your shoes, I'd be busting my ass trying to make money and save it all up and buy a big inch small block crate motor 8)
