if you move your cats from the stock location you will automatically fail, hands down no buts about it. it is a federal law that you are not allowed to alter, move, modify etc. any emissions equipment on a public road driven vehicle AT ALL. about adding one more? i dont know about that. It comes down to common sense, are moving the cat way off from where it originally was? if so they might catch it. if you just move it a bit the average inspector isnt going to know where it was originally. as always, anyone thats worried about jerk off inspectors SHOULD JUST GO TO A PRIVATE GARAGE! its only 50 bucks or so depending and ive never known anyone to fail for the stupid **** that the state guys fail people for ie, noise, cat placement etc. most of the garages just require that you HAVE a cat.

Yeah i know Coldkilla, I just was hoping to run the x-pipe system to gain a few more ponies and since my car is a A-4 I'd like every bit i can get to keep up with the 6-speed F-bodys. TTP installed a Transgo shift kit on my car but i want more as always so,
I keep dropping all this $ in my car and i should be saving for the new Camaro LOL I got a stock pile of parts to get on my car hopefully before the end of April middle of May the latest, these QTP Headers sitting here infront of me is killing me i want them on my car and now with this mornings mail arrival i got the LS-6 Conversion package sitting here and i'm ordering a new torque converter today soon as i can talk to some techs from some of the companies that make them. Suck's now i'm gonna be broke and won't be able to do dyno day at TTP :0( Now with my LoudMouth system i didn't mention anything about selling it, i said i was going to try running it with the QTP Headers and 3inch custom y pipe But you know how that goes it is loud as Hell now with the shortys on my car, so i know it is going to be even Worse after the QTP's i am just going to try it for a week and if i can't take the drone on the highway I will be taking it off though. Your car is a 93 Right Coldkilla?? i don't think my Loud Mouth will fit your car cuz mine is a 2002 but i think SLP has a conversion kit that will adapt it to fit your car Anyways My SLP Loudmouth cat-back is the original 1st Non Modular Version which to me is the best one they made because it use's 2 less clamps because the Bullet muffler is welded directly to the I- Pipe instead of the newer version having a clamp on Bullet so that's less chance of leakes if you ask me. I'm not even sure if i can get it off in one piece because i used a impact gun to tighten all the clamps LOL and it fit so well onto my car that it allowed all the fittings to slide more in the pipes so each clamp connection had about 3 or so inches of pipe slid in after tigthening the clamps with a impact gun, pulling that much legnth out off the pipes is going to be a real Pain in the ass. I got some sound files if you want to here what the kit sounds like for your car And if your willing to wait until about the 3rd week of March to see if i hate the Rasp and drone with the headers. If i cant deal with it and switch cat-backs I'll sell you the whole kit for $250 the L.M. isn't even a year old yet i put it on my car last May so let me know if you wanna wait ok |
yeah they have an adapter kit but dont sweat it, i was gonna buy a new one anyways, ill just go ahead and do that, i cant wait!!!! yeah i would like to hear the sound files tho if ya could, thanks.

nj inspection
I went through inspection at Baker's Basin in October with no problems and I have full length headers, no EGR system custom y-pipe with cats (done by mufflex) bullet muffler in the tunnel, an electric cutout right after the bullet muffler and a factory SS muffler with dual/dual tips...The car is not loud, but not stock sounding either. I could have failed for the cutout, the aftermarket y-pipe, the missing egr stuff....but they had no reason to look for that stuff cause nothing about the car sends up the "look at me flag"....at least to the average state inspector.
It really depends on the inspector, the noise levels, and the codes. I think if the codes come up clean, the car sounds stock or very close, then they aren't gonna look real close. But if codes come up, the car sounds noticeable louder and they don't see tail pipes at all....they will dig deeper....and you could suffer Chris |
