Me too. I have the alarm set for 6 and hit snooze every 9 minutes til 6:40 or 6:45, depending if I hit snooze right away or not. Drives James crazy, but I can't get up on the first alarm. I have to slowly wake up.

My hardest part of the day is coming to work and dealing with the childish BS that goes on here. I spent years of hard work through college to earn a degree, only to work in a setting so drama filled, I had an easier time in high school!! uuugh... Anyone else feel my pain?

I donj't think I'm concious of it anymore.... I'm all confused in the morning

slugger27nj 06-07-2006 09:01 AM

Ughhh....coming in every morning and answering 50 dumb e-mails from our Hong Kong office. A lot of them labeled "Top Urgent" or "Need answer today without fail!". I really have come to hate just launching Outlook!

right now, I'm working on Wall Street for DTCC (The Depository Trust and Clearing Corporation). The toughest thing about my day? THE COMMUTE. I wake up at 4:30 everyday to catch the 5:30 train to Penn Station, then take the 2 or the 3 Subway to Wall Street. I get to work at about 8. Then, to get home, I need to leave the office by 3:30, to get the 2 or 3 subway to Penn Station, to get the train to Hackettstown that leaves at 4:12. This 4:12 train gets me home at 6:30. If I miss that 4:12, every train after that doesn't get me home until 8! So, right now it's imperative that I get that 4:12.

Other than that... working in the Financial District of the city on wall street =

foff667 06-07-2006 12:26 PM

waking up in the morning.

shane27 06-07-2006 01:25 PM

waking up in the morning, without a doubt.

kevin, would it be easier for you if you just took the train out of dover since there are a lot more (i think one every half hr) whereas hackettstown only has a few per day? last time i tried to take the train from home there was only two per day, one in and one out.

Self explanitory, roughest day of the year was yesterday :-\

:wah: I wake up at 5 am usually to be in work by 6. ;)

The hardest part is making half as much as the person next to me and I'm doing 10x better of a job than what they are doing.. Yay union labor..

Tsar 06-08-2006 11:04 AM

wtf waking up is pretty easy, u all pussies!

BigAls87Z28 06-08-2006 11:26 AM

Waking up is easy. Its waking up on time, after working 14 hrs every day for the past 2 weeks thats the bitch, and then on your last day of the 2 weeks before your 2 day vacation, you have to get up at 5 to go do inventory, and you come to find out that its going to be an audited iventory. I came crashing down in the tire room, somewhere between BFGoodrich and Sumitomo.

let me revise then. GETTING up early is the hardest part of my day, without a doubt ;-)

jola 06-08-2006 01:33 PM

true. i have issues with getting up also. i hate it when my brother hits the snooze 4-5 times before getting up. i just lay in my bed getting angry. i don't have to wake up till 8 most days (and sometimes noon if i'm working a later shift), so its not so bad.

Yeah.... I had originally thought so too. The problem? The parking was REALLY bad in Dover... i scoped it out and I'm guessing because of the gas prices more and more ppl are taking the train from there. I've thought about alternating between the two options just to get home a little earlier. They did bump it up to four trains a day.. 2 in, 2 out.... so that's why if I don't catch that 4:12 train i'm screwed.... because every other train no matter how early or late gets me home the same time... 8.
