wow, i had a 78 f250 with a rear setup like that, i sold the truck quickly, if i had kept it, i would have had custom full-lift springs made and ripped those blocks out before i would have driven it off road. If you do take the thing offroading, keep an eye on those, they are a weak link.

a buddy of mine had a 69 pickup on 38's, he had a lot of lift, probably around the same height as that one, and also had blocks in the rear. the truck had a 350 and a 4speed, he could do burnouts on the cement and you could watch the rear separating from the blocks from the spring wrapping up. we wheeled the **** out of it and didnt have any problems, but i would still reccomend changing it. he also couldnt find a locker for the eaton. i would save the $ and effort and stick with the 350. cool truck good luck with it. |

The truck is gonna be lowered significantly before I take it out. The body lift is coming out first and foremost, then the lift blocks. The 44's are going down to 38's for a total drop of 10" from where it's at now. The front gears are going in with maybe an air locker, some miscellaneous body work and some bull bars and winches front and back. That's all I really want for it for now. Also, I haven't found much info about that Eaton rear end. If I can't find any good stuff for it, I might have to swap it out for a 14-bolt. |
how much lift is on it now do you know i would take the body lift off then put like 40 inch grownd hawgs cuz they measure like 38 or some super swamper tsl's 39.5 i know a guy thats sellin them right now for i think 400 in good condition he followed and went through **** the 44's got stuck in and he was in 2 wheel things are nasty
