im just saying, a loud exhaust is gay on the street. A loud exhaust doesnt make a good sounding exhaust, its all about tone. Flow masters are crap, I love my dynomax, but im also going to get a banks catback when i get long tubes..

I like loud. I really love how my hooker sounds with the LT's. I hate the loudmouth. (No offense to anyone here who has one, its just my opinion) Its just too raspy....and expensive .... but then again SLP is always expensive.

The Flowmaster 80 series on my 91 sounded decent to me. But I also had edel**** headers with a "test pipe".

Any louder with the 96 and it will be a cop magnet.

the hooker sounds awsome at wot in a thirdgen, sounds like its blowing the whole world out the tail pipes

as well as a 4th gen since its the same style

flowmaster makes nice kits and they are fairly cheap, but there are a bunch of mufflers that have better tone in my opinion.

well to me flowmaster is the best...the 40 and teh super 40 are the best too me i juss like the way they sound....i also liek the slp and magnaflow but teh flowmaster still holds number one too me...

i loved my dynomax, till the pipe fell out of the muffler.

oh and the 2000 rpm drone from hell.

i had flowmaster on my SS, wasnt bad sounded very nice, then i lost a tailpipe, but i still didnt change it. When they repaved my street and messed up my driveway transition, the intermediate pipe fatiuged and broke and i ripped the cat back off completely. I drove around for like 5 months with stock manifolds and an off road y pipe only... lol

I loved the way my Banks sounded. But the muffler split at the weld the week I was selling it. I popped a dynomax muffler in and it sounded almost the same. If you are doing headers, I'd keep what you have.

I've got a loudmouth on my GTP, and it sounds great... aside from the DRONNNNNNNNNNNNEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE on the highway. I'm probably going to cut the I-pipe and put a resonator on it this winter.

Yes, it will quiet it down. That's the point. If you have a really loud exhaust it can get old, fast.

Especially if:

1.) You can't hear your radio
2.) You attract unwanted attention
3.) You look like a poser because you don't have enough motor and the sound comes from all muffler (not that that's true in my case :D)

My exhaust sounds great when I accelerate. The problem is when I'm doing between 75-80 on the highway for a little while. The exhaust note doesn't change much and it gets pretty annoying.
