I was there and dont understand why the devils fans have that hate towards us Ranger fans, I mean you think they would be happy attendance went over 5,000 for a night.

God knows how much I love watching an entire team trap for 60 minutes of a game, I mean its real entertainment watching the devils opposing team face 4-5 guys standing in the nutural zone and all (and on top of it braging how Marty is god when he faces an average of 20 shots from 50 feet away every game for his carrear) the devils team system, steming back from Jaque Lamerix in around 93 is a great way to wear down an opposition and to win a game, but at what cost, destroying the entire concept of what the sport is. I see those moron devils fans at the game Screem ing SHOOT! at the top of their lungs, when the defenceman is trying to settle a rolling puck on the blue line with no traffic in front of the net, Its ok because most of those fans do not understand the concept of a power play or aside from a few roller hockey games have even played the sport let alone under stand the mechanics of a break out, or a simple give and go.. ha most fans have nbever run a single flow drill in their life. Then they sit there and spew out stats with buggers flying out of their nose and bashing more skilled players like Jager and Straka like NJ ever had any skilled players since Steffan Riche retired. But what do I know, all I have is a bunch of fat men in suites takin up all teh good seats at the rangers games allowing us fans to afford a seat in the 400's **** the pathetic hockey teams the tri-state area has to offer, Im moving to Toronto where people have a concept of what this game was designed for, skating, passing, hitting, skill, flow and speed. Not ****in 5 guys holding each others dicks in the nutral zone, and not over paid has beens sucking up an 80 million dollar salery while Hardford playes 19 year olds who would make it on any other team in the NHL

have you never heard of a rivalry? and idk where you were sitting but i really don't have that trouble when i go to the games, but then again it could be just me

the devils invented the trap, won a lot of games with it, the nhl changed the rules to try to stop it, the devils came up with a better version that was legal again. can't really blame them for the pace of the game, they jsut want to win and came up with a boring way to do it.
if you want more action out of a team running a trap defense you should start watching the flyers. they are so slow and bad that they can give up 50+shots attempting to use the same defense. lol

....and yes, i used to be a flyers fan when i watched hockey. :(

no they will make the playoffs, and get swept by the devils, im realist and not a fan of any paticular team, im a fan of the game, thats why I dont like the devils, the trap is ****in discrase to the game if you ask me, Ive had the oppertunity to spend some time in canada in my playing days and once you play agenst different systems, you begin to apreciate a high flow offence, but i never did make it so im just an outsider, what I would have given to play in some NHL games though, I got called up 3 times to play IHL, if you remember that leauge, it is now defunct and became AHL, in retrospect it was just because I could fight, i never got much ice time. I have the upmost respect for those that play at that level, its a damn shame players with such skill play in such a system as the devils, thats why you will never see NJ sign skilled players. And the devils never invented the trap, the trap was around years before colorado moved to NJ, Devils just perfected it, if you get a chance to watch some western conference games you will notice Detrioit with all their offence in a western devision utalize the left wing lock, yeah, i was surprized too, but as i said, im a realist, i respect what the devils acomplished, bruce driver is a goalie in my leauge, ive only spoken with him on a few occasions, cool guy, he is very knowladgeable about the sport from what i have figured, he said he preffered playing for NJ over NY so what does that tell ya, world revolves around difference of opinion, hey, some guys buy Hondas right...
