The creek behind my apartment is starting to come up to the parking lot. Crazy stuff.

ZeroCool8891 04-15-2007 02:13 PM

flooding by me

GP99GT 04-15-2007 02:51 PM

my yard is a lake cause the ground cant hold any more water...so its just kinda got standing water on top

Savage_Messiah 04-15-2007 02:52 PM

damn, looks liek I'll have to go put those drain plugs back in at some point so the ground water doesn't flood up into it, now how bout THAT irony

chevyt454 04-15-2007 03:04 PM

No joke - I just went out and there are honda civics and acura integras scattered all over the highway stranded. Where they were trying to go in these low riders during a flood I don't know but not too bright.

JL8Jeff 04-15-2007 04:06 PM

I just ran up to the river to pull the dock in some. The Delaware is up about 4-5 feet so far and will come up another 5-10 feet at least. Glad I decided to take the boat out of the water yesterday!

bobb1589 04-15-2007 05:19 PM

yeah speaking of boating.. this spring has been horrible for boating... my dad and i havent even been able to get out... this weather will make the delaware impossible to boat in for 2 weeks or so just cuz all the debris

1_Hot_SOM_WS6 04-15-2007 06:07 PM

Eh...no major flooding here....water covered the docks a little....nothing in the street....we are good so far :)

bubba428 04-15-2007 07:12 PM

well theres real deep puddles here...and FROGS EVERY WERE!!!!!!

Savage_Messiah 04-15-2007 07:20 PM

that mustang had altezzas. A worthy sacrifice to calm mother nature's PMSing.

Rich189 04-15-2007 09:24 PM

flooding everywhere around here... the 15 minute ride to work took almost an hour because they had to detour the detour if that makes sense to anyone else (rt 130 flooded and then the detour they had flooded so they detoured that) and its probably just gonna keep getting worse glad my truck sits up decently high+-

Its pretty bad around here. Some parking lots are completely under water. It would be nice to get a day off from work because of the weather.

qwikz28 04-15-2007 11:35 PM

theres a car that flew off the road and into a little lake on Route 18. its just sitting there bobbing around. every damn road on the way home was closed, i gave up and started driving around the barriers. and to think, a club i'm in at school held a banquet today and i was part of the setup committee so i spent most of my day carrying boxes in and out of the building to and from peoples cars. i think i have ammonia.

eff this i'm going to Noah's house for safety

maroman88 04-16-2007 04:22 AM

im home on a 3 hour break from the FD, gotta be back at 6am. we were out for 12 hours straight, my town, along with most of bergen county is destroyed. my town is split in half by the hackensack river and its not supposed to be lol. my basement has about 6inches of water and the power just came back on.

in the fire service there is a saying "the **** hit the fan" well today in my town, the **** hit the biggest fan ive ever seen realllly fast. most of the houses i was in the toilets were exploding with sewer mains full and backed up...watta mess

BonzoHansen 04-16-2007 06:25 AM

Hay Al, still want to know where the storm is?

Savage_Messiah 04-16-2007 07:24 AM

Ugh, apapreantly after my first post in this thread the window / weatherstripping never fully sealed. Went otu to plug the drain holes and put some towels down at about 12:30... made sure to dry off the door. Well I go otu to give my mom a ride to work, dont feel like switching the cars around so take the camaro, and the door is soaked all over again.

manual locks / windows FTMFW

EDIT: Hey Mike did you hear about anything major in tenafly last night? mybe by/around the high school? at one point every cop in town plus a fire truck or two came down my street. Also, going to work i go thru bergenfield/ new milford to boulevard, to new bridge, the make the left by the sunoco and take river rd. thru teaneck and bogota, then cross one of the bridges into hackensack... anything super-crazy there I should know about?

edit 2: Power was out from 1 AM till about 32 minutes ago.

In the words of Bart Simpson, "I thought it was theoretically impossible for something to both suck and blow at the same time." Well, this storm throws that theory right out the window.
