This is true. I had typed up a reply saying something like "Keep in mind that Ron has a strong future in stress testing auto parts" but I forgot to submit it.

I'm pretty sure he doesn't run the car much past 6k(~113mph)

358sbc 10/1 comp world sportsmanII Heads with turbo 350 4:10 gears and a 26x10.5 tire I went 12.54 at 114.... Screaming it through the traps.... AT 6500.... the car fell on its face after 6200 and was dead at the 1000' mark....

im on my rev limiter in 4th at the traps with 4.10s

i'm going with a cam so i will be turning my motor to 6800. i forgot that he was bolt on. but even so, i turned my bolt on motor slightly past 6k to keep it in the powerband

none taken, rev limiter was stock at the time, w/ 4.11 gears and i topped out at 113mph. I saw that in person when i drove it. and this site www.f-body.org/gears FTW

plus i have some plans for it this year that will help me trap at least 120 i would think. 3.73s @ 6k with 26" tires = 123mph if i remmber correctly.

Now, next year, my powerband will be a bit higher in the rpms, so 4.10s will be better suited for me.
