well if it makes you feel any better, I felt the same way the other day. I just got my GTA like two weeks ago and already having a **** load of problems i with it
-the wiring for the fans are all screwed up so it starts to get hot and i gotta pull over and try to fix it
-the key cylinder was sticky so when turning the car on you gotta turn it then when it kicks over turn the key cylinder back (otherwise all of the guages get pegged and random lights come on) .... that took a day just to figure out.
-Right now I have no interior accessories (lights, radio, subs, etc) and there doesn't seem to be any power to my fuse panel so I had to take the hot to my fan and wire it to my power cable for my sub -- I had to do that today while on 195 on my way to work.
...AND TO TOP IT ALL OFF - I was pulled over 5 minutes from work.
Yeah, so I understand where you're coming from. I just take a step back and look at the situation - I"m tracing the issue tonight with a buddy of mine at ford and should be able to find the source of the problem (prob a bad ground), finish up wiring the fans CORRECTLY and put on a longer air dam.
Maybe try doing the same thing --your lumina took a poop on you...sucks, but what do you expect, It's an old POS. How much would it cost to replace the timing chain? Your 'stang ... sounds like something stupid like a bad ground or something. Too much current flowing through your wires thus melting 'em.
Just maybe take a break from working/looking at the car and then see how you feel? When I came into work today and started, I forgot about the car and felt much better. Just hang in there man!
