Turnpike, is the best route. I don't think it will be as bad as you may think it, but still be pretty packed.

LOL@people telling him to take the GSP.

The turnpike is the best route like others have already stated.

Actually you can take exit 4 off the TP and get on 295 right there. Just get on 73N after the toll, go through 1 light and 295 is not even 1/4 mile on your right. I've always found this faster than exit 3 (42) 'cause 73N has 4 lanes and 1 light before 295, and 42 has 1 lane and a few lights.

From where he's coming from, 287 isnt even an option. same reason i never take it

well 287 is closest to midland park, we took it at 5pm last friday and it was congested before 80, and congested before the tpk, and the tpk was congested at the merge but all and all I was expecting much worse. No llama's passed us however

Savage_Messiah 06-11-2007 12:36 PM

weird, I was thinking new milford for some reason not midland park

alamantia 06-11-2007 01:39 PM

well, i used to live in new milford but there were too many gas main explosions in that town so I decided to move.

Savage_Messiah 06-11-2007 02:35 PM

didnt know you could get to 295 from exit 4, and yea exit 3 (168 and 42) is a major PITA, so i just suffer with 73 all the way down to vineland

Do you guys get lost a lot? If you are on a road, NJ TP, that goes straight to your destination, Del Mem Bridge, why would you get off of that road? I'm not sure where you are at in North Jersey, but your best route is going to be to get on the Turnpike and stay there until you hit the bridge. That by-passes all the shore traffic on 295 and 42.

If I wanted to get from Northern Jersey to the Delaware Memorial bridge at 5pm on a friday between memorial day and labor day which route would be the best in your opinion?
Helicopter. Or wait until the geek squad finally figures out teleportation.
