But wasnt it hot rod magazine that did that chevelle (i think it was) and they just sanded it to bare metal and then clear coated it. That thing was pretty sweet looking no rust though lol.

that is huge in teh VW scene. they let their hoods rust out and then they put it on a new car. it looks completely awkward. i'll try to find a pic

eh, f-it. less metal = weight reduction. RUST FTW! haha

My chem teacher was a car guy and he told me that due to some chemical reaction, oxidization i think, that causes rust to occur, actually makes metal weigh MORE. He said he agreed it makes no sense to normal people but its true I tried it during the school year because I didn't believe him. :nod:
