Or emissions most likely.

Slo86Bird 10-24-2007 08:56 PM

itll pass if it dont roll over. and i got ppl thatll just put a sticker on for a couple bucks. and the speeding tickets r 105 each plus whatever legal fees

if you already think your gonna lose your lisence, why buy anything now?
why not save untill you get the lisence back.

like i said, any of the newer 4bangers you were mentioning earlier in the thread will be faster than the car you have now.
lifted trucks are cool, but tend to be unreliable as daily drivers (mainly because of what the owners think they can do on weekends) and the fuel consumption will suck.

you dont have to convince your mom of anything, you have to prove to her you can stop driving like a *******

DaSkinnyGuy 10-24-2007 09:11 PM

Yea dude prove to her what you are able to do while driving. Look at me, had my license for almost two years havent had a ticket. Trying to keep a good drivers record so I can get that V8 in the bird. yes everyone has fun during their young ages, even girls do it just as much as guys. But in the end you have to realize you need to drive like me 5mph above the speed limit is tops. Any faster after that is when you get a ticket son. But still I had my time of when I got pulled for doing 28 in a 25. Yes you read that correctly and I got a warning.

Yea but legally they can give you a ticket for doing 4mph or more above the speed limit but I was only doing 3mph over.

They can write you for 1 over if they want to. The first bracket is 1-9 mph over.

Anti_Rice_Guy 10-25-2007 08:05 AM

The cop who talked to my physics class a few years ago told us that you can't get a ticket for 1 over because the accuracy of the guns is +/- 1 mph. So if it says you're doing 26 you may only be doing 25 so they won't pull you over. Plus the reason they're lenient for < 5 over is because its not that bad of you to do it, and you have to re-calibrate the guns fairly often which I bet some cops don't do.

They can do it, you can just fight it easily.

Agreed.

You can speed in just about anything. I don't see how dumping your V8 bird will save you from that.

Slo86Bird 10-25-2007 07:12 PM

im gettin tired of it anyways, i do have a lead foot which tends to give me horrible gas mileage. a truck i wouldnt go as fast in unless its lowered n is fast like my dads truck haha. and a 4 banger u can beat the piss out of and still get good gas mileage and they r cheaper to fix. depending. plus id rather have a newer car, 86 is older then i am.
