hey matt, since you have so much to say i guess i should ask. how is your car running?

you don't really have any room to make fun of anyone's knowledge base until you have in some small way shown that you have one of your own. so far you have ripped your car apart and had it towed to a shop. that puts you pretty far in the hole compared to bubba breaking and repairing/replacing his own parts.

No excuse, IMO. Do you think most of those people use the correct form outside of the internet? Doubtful....

Ok, you got me there. but I will agree with Wayfast, not that he's and idiot, but his ideas that he has are more then outside of the boundries of plausible, and his ability to accept opinions and advice are nonexistant.

bubba428 12-09-2007 08:06 PM

well heres the plan I'm gonna have to stick to.
If it comes down to the T/A being disabled I have a 700r4 set aside for me and i'm setting aside the cash for it in a separate account as a just in case scenario. I'm finishing the 3.4 this weekend, and sending out the computer with the little bit of money I'll have to work with. some time soon I'm getting a clutch and putting her on the insurance. The T/A will then become a moving project car, thats I'm not going to dig at too deep and make the same mistake again.

Lay off Fatty Matty. He's been building high perf cars since Big Daddy was in diapers!

bubba428 12-09-2007 08:08 PM

you mean A hi-perf CAR

Blacdout96 12-09-2007 08:10 PM

I looked at your engine. You need to finish puting the oil pan on and a few other assorted bottom end parts, find pushrods for it, find exhaust manifolds and hook up an exhaust, put the front assembly on, put it back in the car, get a clutch for it and put the transmission on, hook up all the wiring, get the computer on it, and hope that it will run for more then 30 seconds because you never plastigauged anyhting.

exactly, he could've had a rebuilt 700r4 and a stock torque converter for $300 I might have even delivered it for him...

I think we would make a great team, hopefully he has ears that are actually useful on his head to listen to advice and opinions, and his car WOULD get done faster then Bubba's V6 :)

who says I haven't been working on it....like I said...I can have it ready to be in the car by the end of the weekend...not in, but ready. I don't need manifolds, i have headers, I found the pushrods, the exhaust gets done after the motor is in, the front cover needs to be modified and thats it.

matt's car was so desperately torn apart and far from completion that it was taken to a shop to be professionally taken care of.
if matt or bubba listened to all of the advice they have been given it would be better, but certainly not as funny for the rest of us. lol

are you seriously going there?

Wow.

first of all, I did listen to all of the advice i was given, theres only one place it got me, no where. There are only 2 people I trust now giving me opinions on MY car, That is Josh, and Paul. It has become clear to me that you to are all full of talk, your talking about my car which is apart but you to have a half assed second gen that is apart, it has been apart longer then me and bubba's car... Your also all talk about ET and yet your running a mid 13 second car. I know its your DD but still. As for me taking my car to Josh, thats NONE of your business, in the end its going to be badder then both of your cars, Bubba's car, and Justin's car. Keep talking ****.

Im not trying to start ****, Im sticking up for my self when I say these things

Tim sold the 2nd gen a while ago....try to keep up.

- Justin

NJSPEEDER 12-09-2007 08:50 PM

i bought the 4th gen and knew i wouldn't have time for it, and sold it to a friend with a big motor that needed a new home. that is life, that is reality, get over yourself.

i would also like to know what advice we all gave you that was so terrible? which one of your half baked ideas did we not back properly?
was it the truck cam one? or the race only one? or the daily driver in the 9's one?

josh will give you solid advice, he will also do top notch work to your car. but don't think that having made a mess of yoru car and then paying someone to fix it adds any points to your automotive IQ or your skill level.

unstable bob gable 12-09-2007 09:00 PM

Before you OLD hotshots get your jollies off of teaming up on a 15 year old kid, lemme axe you this: How many of YOU actually spent a couple of mins trying to help the kid out in person? I know I have. So maybe youz should walk the walk a bit before getting all high and mighty. I know it's an easy, ego puffing thrill to bang on the kid. And if youz wanna really man up, take a second and list all the projects youz started and never got ass done with...nobody here has the right to throw stones...:-x

NJSPEEDER 12-09-2007 09:07 PM

i never made it up to visit the kid in person so none of the advice offered was legit?

bob, matt was offered a lot of solid advice by a lot of different members. who made it to his house has little to do with who offered knowledge.

if matt doesn't want anyone to comment about his skill level he needs to either lay off that of others or raise his own. i have tried many times to help matt out with advice and links to helpful information only to be ignored. i offered, he didn't care to learn from my knowledge and experience, not my fault.

I say you havent been working on it, cause you either work, or you sit around at your house. your engine is at your dads house and he gives you a hard enough time as it is to work on it. and you dont even have a proper tool set to put it together properly. When your rear went, who came over with all the right tools and had it in and out in a few hours workign time, I did. in the hour and half you worked on it you took of the sway bar and the shocks. Im not saying I know more then you, but If your goign to work in the mechanic worl dude, or work on your car properly, have the proper tools to go with it. as for putting the engine in, im sure you can have it in, I could have something like that in in no time, but will it run? personally, no, you didnt use plastiguage.
