Could be....I was thinking they all pulled spark for some reason.

Either way, it wouldn't affect pedal feel.

Well then they all must have had some sort of aftermarket limiter installed on them, because none of them would do that from the factory.

Not a grammar expert either. 1996 was the first year Traction Control was installed on F-bodies which will "push" the pedal back at you to say.

never heard of anything aftermarket installed doing that. Maybe your confused on what you felt.

Kid Racer 01-01-2008 07:52 PM

no i now what i felt i wish i still had the car i would let u guys drive it so this way i dont sound stupid...

Don't worry, the gas pedal theory is not whats making you sound stupid .....

Kid Racer 01-01-2008 08:04 PM

that or just take a glance to re read what you typed. Not saying this stuff to be jerks really. More people tend to respond better with a post that they can read. Something that was written up with a total disregard to the English language will cause many to ignore the question that they can't read.

With that being said, if you REALLY want to get rid of the limiter that you shouldn't hit in the first place, wait till you have more modifications done to justify a new PROM to be made and have the limiter removed then....

Kid Racer 01-01-2008 08:17 PM

how u remove it i dont things to my other camaro and i could never figure it out

Because it requires a laptop computer with hardware and software designed for burning PROMS.

Kid Racer 01-01-2008 08:23 PM

ah so i see cant u buy a chip that aint got one on it

deadtrend1 01-01-2008 08:29 PM

I (and can probably speak for others) wonder why it is such a priority. This may fall on deaf ears, but removing the speed limiter is the last thing that I would be worried about. You don't even have said car in your possesion yet. Make sure the basic things are good first.

98tadriver 01-01-2008 09:08 PM

maybe the trolls under the gas pedal push it back?

Mike 01-01-2008 09:11 PM

maybe kasey is down on his floorboard.......someone just take his limiter off and see if hes smart enough to go over the 21 year old car before he tries going that fast

Kid Racer 01-01-2008 09:13 PM

Do what..

keith2717 01-01-2008 09:14 PM

Yep, it's the trolls. They protect us against speeding kids!

Man you guys are harsh. Funny, but harsh.

Kid Racer, as everyone has mentioned, you might best remove the factory settings by purchasing a new chip or having the software / hardware to tune the car with the current chip. Either path is best served by first putting on any modifications you want before having the chip programmed / replaced. Otherwise you go through the motions / money of making the changes, only to have them changed again when adding on mods.

The questions about your need for a top end beyond 100+ MPH is still valid. Is this a track car? You have no business going that speed on any public road, so it's best to keep the stock settings until you decide to add modifications AND race on a track. There is no quick and easy fix to what you are requesting so first decide what you plan to use the car for.

Good luck!
