OK, you really think I can't handle that car?

Mike 03-27-2008 09:38 PM

no, my car is slow. i just dont think you couldnt launch it your first time out, which is what this thread is about

bubba428 03-27-2008 09:41 PM

just get your clutch...I'm not going to argue about this retarded crap anymore.

Congrats on the times alex, the cars got alot more in it

one of Josh's clutches...

I would say even before the whole "launch" part...staging without stalling would be a feat in itself.

I dont think I could do that...but then again im not a world class driver either.

well theres that, and the fact that it gets launched somewhere in the vincinity of the revlimiter

I watched Alex make his first pass..... he spun pretty bad.

Considering that this was his first time out in a while.... and a drastically different car, he did pretty damn good.

The mph shows the true potential. His car will never be a super 1/4 mile king.... it is a road race car... very difficult to 1/4 mile race and get super low 60's etc.

Don't worry alex, you did quite fine first time out - keep it up.

WayFast84 03-30-2008 09:40 PM

CONGRATS alex!, It must of felt good!

Bubba when are you gonna learn to just shut your mouth?

JerzyIroc 03-30-2008 10:34 PM

nipples

Pampered-Z 04-02-2008 02:52 PM

Nice times, keep practicing, launching our cars does take some time to learn. And that MPH is killer. Start saving for a 12 bolt. I use Nitto DRs and launch easy to try the save the rear, same deal, 2.1 60s rolling into it off the line. But both times I broke it, it was down track on the 1-2 or 2-3 shifts.

Go do some bracket racing! My old setup I was running 13.0 @ 109. People will think they have you covered at the 1000' mark and back off, then you go tearing past them the last 100'!

GP99GT 04-02-2008 04:42 PM

let me drive it....low 12s will be had

The price to drive it will equal the cost of a Dana S60, Moser 12-Bolt, or Strange 9"

JSPERFORMANCE 04-02-2008 07:32 PM

Told you that you would be drag racing it!!!!

I just wanted to make sure it wasn't a slouch in a straight line

Once I knock off a sub 12 second or faster time slip I'll be happy and have it out of my system, but now I've got the bug to obtain those times.

Tru2Chevy 04-02-2008 07:55 PM

If you wanna knock off a sub 12 second slip, your gonna need tires and some prayers (for the 10 bolt).

back in december of 05' I ran a 12.97 @ 110 mph in my 98 m6 with a lid/catback new clutch and 17" street tires, full weight. how come your times are slower? your mph is a lil higher but timewise, its slower. dont get much seat time at the track?

I beg to differ there. i broke my first 10bolt in march or april of 06 on street tires!
