My 1995 Grand Am GT with the 3100 V/6 gets 29.2 mpg @ 65 mph(with the cruise set)on my Route 18 trip to Ocean everyday. My son gets 32 mpg with his 2001 NEON on his trip to Tinton Falls on the Parkway @ 65 mph, and my last trip to ATCO Pontiac Fall Nationals I got 24mpg @ 65 mph with the 1991 Formula. What I cant understand is that with the HUGE PRICE increases almost everyday for gasoline, is why if I'am doing 65 on the Parkway or Route 18, I still get passed like I'am standing still. Does anyone out there give a rats a s s about what it costs for fuel, and how much LESS gas mileage you get by going 10 to 20 miles more over the speed limit costs you!

Knipps 04-19-2008 08:32 PM

people aren't letting gas prices affect their daily routine.. that's like saying by working closer to home with the same pay you could save a ton of money each year.

btw you can say ass.

enRo 04-19-2008 11:45 PM

Yesterday i improved my Denalis gas mileage by 30%... to about 20mpg. Drafting on the highway does work, haha. what usually took me a full tank only was 3/4 last night while following 2-4 car lengths behind my friends '01 explorer sport.

Iroc-z86 04-21-2008 10:13 AM

Jeep (I6 5spd 3.08s 31in tires) 16-18 no matter what

Camaro- with the 350 was about 14 with 305 dont know yet

School beater 94 pontiac grand am 26-27 highway, all i do is drive it on the highway. not bad for an old beat up car with 120k and an auto v6.

WildBillyT 04-21-2008 01:56 PM

therein lies the issue. Add a bit of 45-50 mph cruising and it goes way up, dont even need highway.
