To anyone running vista it sucks, obviously there will be some lucky ones however vista is the biggest pos IMO.
I had alot of issues initially with it on my home pc and had justin put xp on it in its place, I just got a new laptop via my job and it has vista business and I've had nothing but misc issues with it which IMO would be considered bugs some little like me being locked out of my own computer at the airport because I didn't have an internet connection, like me not being able to restore my computer to an earlier time because it always fails this process, like me not being able to access parts of the pc because of UAW or whatever the F its called. Since Im basically forced to run vista on a daily basis it continues to leave a bad taste in my mouth. I type this to you on my home pc running xp ;) |
I'm starting to notice a pattern here, not just from this board, but older people are having more problems with it, just like that guy in the link I provided who tryed to install XP drivers on Vista for his printer..
I still stick to my "user problem" comment not the OS, anymore. But I guess I'm the lucky one x 300%. |
Alright, well there a bunch of **** in this thread that does not pertain to me fixing my problem.
I downloaded superantispyware. Its just found a bunch of tracking cookies, nothing else. I also have spybot that does a daily scan, and it tosses out the spyware as well. |

I will say my JOB is handling support issues for a software company so get emails all day regarding vista & the issues people see with it and am the one that answers said emails. My conclusion in this aspect is that XP is far easier & more stable than vista & gives ME & our customers less issues. As for that guy with the dell printer did you even read the article? It was a driver issue that dell eventually needed to make a patch for that because of the permissions issues with vista the drivers he needed to rid himself of couldn't be. Im so glad you haven't had any issues with vista but it may simply be that you don't use it as often as I need to for my job or you just lucked out or maybe your just a genius...whatever the case may be my information still stands & I still proclaim vista to be a POS. -Bill |
Ill give it a shot when I go home. Right now Im at work.
|
i think everyone and their mother's sister's second cousin's ex best friend knows that vista sucks teh big cack...ive read it on many fourms and frankly im kinda sick of hearing it :D
|
Ok...well Im back on the internet from my laptop.
It seems when I uninstalled Norton to load AVS or wahtever was suggested, I could not connect to the internet. I did a system restore to before i uninstalled norton, and tadaaaaaaaa I dont know why it wouldnt let me on before...and I have yet to find any answer. |
