i guess...but i'm not exactly head on shoulders at the moment. I still haven't slept...I'm running on adrenaline from some thing that happened 24 hours ago...so far 38 hours without sleep

79CamaroDiva 08-10-2008 11:57 PM

yeah, i understand taht. im sure waiting til the next actual business day can't hurt your claim

SteveR 08-11-2008 12:10 AM

wow, your definitely lucky you didnt get more hurt. Severe spinal injuries often happen when your face hits the windshield like that. Get better soon man!

69BirdX 08-11-2008 12:20 AM

I know exactly how you feel. Felt the same after i crashed my 91 T/A. Im glad that car had air bags even though they broke my nose. Glad to hear your alright. As for the car its easier to fix and less damaging then broken bones and a life. Feel lucky for yourself and you friend but more importantly that no one else was in the way of the wreckage.

Wow Bubba, sorry to hear about this. I hope everything stays cool with the Army and that you get through this as easily and quickly as possible.

jims69camaro 08-11-2008 02:32 PM

yeah, i think your friend is screwed. and the cops did mess up not getting your BAC, or his - so at least he's got a hope. gotta love cops, man, you just went through the most harrowing experience of your life and he's in your face calling you a liar. unfreakingbelievable.

on the bright side, the nose will heal and it looks like you won't have any major scars. and you get to live. i know how close you came, having been there twice before in my life. and you'll get over the image you had when you woke up, too. :D

brp88gta 08-11-2008 04:34 PM

i agree that you will get over the image but it does take some time. i was in a very similar crash about 2 years about. out of 4 of us i was the only one consious. once the two people in the front woke up, i looked next to me and saw my buddy just sitting there hunched over with blood pouring from his head, thought he was dead. got medivaced out and is ok now but i know how an image like that can stick in your head and send chills down your spine when you think about it. dont worry that will fade away with time. i hated driving with other people for a good while after that but that fades away too, but it defintly made me smarter as to who i let drive me around. im glad to hear you guys are ok and hope everything works out. time will heal everything

absolutely...like I said in my other posts, being that close to death puts life in perspective. I am lucky I made it out alive let alone with only a broken nose.

SteveR 08-11-2008 11:03 PM

wow man, you are lucky.
