I've had my 360 since Christmas of 2006 and haven't had any issues. I stuck some 3M rubber feet on it to raise it up about 1/2" for more airflow since most of the issues revolve around heat.

I occasionally get a dirty disc message, but otherwise it's been all smooth sailing *knocks on wood*.

That being said, I still prefer to play most games on PC.

i am just now getting into the games available for PC. i'm still waiting for the graphics boards from my builder, and when they come i expect to be able to play anything on the market without overclocking, and anything they dream up for tomorrow with some possible overclocking... the key point is that i have the ability. try that with an Xbox or a PS2-3. not happening.

p.s. that big LCD monitor in your living room is the perfect place to hook up your computer. want to see njfboa.org in 1920X1440 ? now, try that with your Xbox...

I surfed the web all the time on my original xbox  (it might not have been "stock" though ;) )

LCD FTL though....my living room is full of big screen DLP :D

I went onto eBay and bought one of those fans that stick in the back of my xBox. Before that, it would freeze up alot, or lag, but it appears to cool it considerable, and its even better when the A/C is kicking in the room. Id like to find an extra side panel, and drill press some small holesi n it to add for cross ventilation, hopefully al my worries will be gone after that. Oh and Consols forever. Yeah you may not be able to upgrade the graphics in a Consol, but when you go to the store to buy a game for one, you never have to worry if its compatible, or if youd need to buy crap to make it compatible, just put it in and play :)

How is C+C3?

the Wii IMO is meant for toddlers, XBOX360 sucks (Halo FTW) , PS3 by far the best. better graphics, blue ray capability, free online, sleeker system, updates more frequently, and doesn't have a red ring of death.

I just bought a 360. The game play is fun, graphics are really good, but I spent a full day on the phone with Live technical support to find out that the problem I was having was probably nothing to do with my console. (couldn't connect to another game, couldn't accept a chat).

I think I would have preferred a ps3, but xbox was just more affordable, and i dont play video games all that much, but did want to get into forza :)

You get what you paid for lol. I dont mind the 50 bucks a year, but I do mind how much xbox points cost to download content.
