The original G body was not the 80's regal, cutlass, and grand prix. The original G body was the late 60's and early 70's Grand Prix and Monte Carlo.
|
Oh yeah...how could I forget.
J body made a good car, but GM just didnt keep it up to date with the rest of the compacts. |

What platform is the Solstice/Sky/GT Roadster?
|
Kappa. Kappa is a great parts bin car. Rear diff from the last Sigma, Brakes and hubs from the Epsilon car, some Delta front end stuff, auto trans from Sigma (as well as BMW btw) manual trans from the 355 trucks, seats from GM Brazil.
Alpha will be built along the same lines, just wont be a full framed car like Kappa is. |
Kappa? There was a thread about that somewhere in the lounge.

It would also cost 40k....
There is also talk that the next gen C7 platform will ALSO be used to make a Kappa replacement. Since C7 is going to get much smaller and lighter, expect to see a Solstice sized C7 with a 370-400hp V8 between the fenders. |
