Thats why.

Nah bro, I said a rear he could pull out of to stuff under his saab, but you know a 350 does sit comfortably under a jag's hood.

Gotta remember, in your mind, its alot cheaper then whats written on the checks. builds like these, when there is no direct aftermarket setups, can get costly very quickely. this works, but now i have to modify or buy another one to make that work, and so on. dont run the 99 yards and then stop. you dont wantto set your car up for a 10 bolt and go blowing those up every week. might as well go the extra mile and get somethign that will take the punishment, even if its a 8.5 rear, its a step up from a 7.5.

I was thinking about a 8.5 or another 4 link rear only problem is theres a gas tank in the way of the uppers....

theres more than ample room in the saab...infact MORE than an F body

Blacdout96 10-26-2008 10:54 AM

you could always pick up a small fuel cell and put it in there, like a 5 or 10 gallon one.

bubba428 10-26-2008 10:55 AM

true...its only a 12 gallon tank either way LOL

Blacdout96 10-26-2008 10:59 AM

there ya go. they're pretty cheap on ebay, might be able to get a used one dirt cheap.

sweetbmxrider 10-26-2008 11:05 AM

bubba428 10-26-2008 11:48 AM

BigAls87Z28 10-26-2008 12:01 PM

Well then, I want to part my Caprice out and swap some small block love into that XJ. Then Ill get it painted British Racing Green and be done with it. Probably half a ton lighter then the Caprice.

bubba428 10-26-2008 12:04 PM

bubba428 10-26-2008 01:28 PM

more or less....at least in a 2700lb (before W/R) Saab 2dr it'll have some kick...and the Bad ass factor is x10 LOL

sweetbmxrider 10-26-2008 04:49 PM

BigAls87Z28 10-26-2008 06:35 PM

I have been thinking about the XJ swap for a while now. At least 3-4 weeks.

mc73nova 10-26-2008 06:36 PM

Do it. Make sure you post the project. Should be some interesting fab work.
