Still raining here in Hawthorne 15 minutes from the George Washington Bridge.

Anti_Rice_Guy 10-28-2008 11:57 AM

Raining here in South Orange too. But back home the weather is so bad that they cancelled the dismissals and are keeping the kids indefinitely until the roads are safe.

Been switching back and forth from rain to snow here all morning, no snow sticking though. It's in the mid 30s. Currently it's raining like crazy and pretty windy....

Oh ya i forgot you live in Poets Peak. I didnt think it was that bad up there. I was suppose to plow that for some extra OT $$ but I refused after picking up trash and leaves in this **** hole.

Well we did too, but its been a cake walk... it hasnt hit peak here yet. There is one area in town what we call "The Circuits" with 2 roads named "Forest Dr" and "Cedar Dr"... so assume how bad it really gets there during peak season with street names like that  I remember around Thanksgiving I packed two 32 yard garbage trucks full of leaves on those two small streets alone. Started picking leaves up at 1:00pm, had dominos deliver to us at around 6:00 while we were on the road and finally got done at 8:00pm. 14 hour shifts FTL.

BurninrubberGT 10-28-2008 10:09 PM

my neighborhood (poets peak) was on abc news tonite!!!!!
