i was thinking about going this week but im going to hold off until i get my chassis mount adjustable torque arm with driveshaft loop next week

i'll feel a lil bit better knowing i have a ds loop just in case the driveshaft cant handle the nitrous

NJ Torque 12-06-2008 03:15 PM

i'm going to try and make it....

emolineaux 12-06-2008 04:20 PM

ill try to be there for one last time this season

NJ346 12-06-2008 11:37 PM

I'll be there looking not just for a 12 second pass, but a deep 12 second pass. I plan on taking the back seats and passenger seat out of the car for some weight reduction. Next weekend is Go Big or Go home.

98tadriver 12-07-2008 04:52 PM

drop the a/c and condenser too. thats like 34 more lbs. drop the front sway bar as well. thats 15lbs and the nose will pick up a lil more helping your 60' time. thats about 50lbs off of the front right there. i dont know how good of a driver you are, but in theory that car should be good for 12.50s or better, depending on how much u take out. i hit 12.50s full weight back in 2006 with full bolt ons, minus a LS6 intake, no tune 4.11s and street tires

Lol, well my trans doesn't like cold shifting so I'll have to load it up with some synchromesh before I head out and I should be able to shift descently. I'll be happy with 12.7xs which I think I'm a good enough driver to hit that with DR's.

Blackbirdws6 12-09-2008 06:12 PM

I'm def. in so looking forward to the weekend. Looking for 11's in the Bird and maybe just maybe a 12.9X in the G8.

sweetbmxrider 12-09-2008 06:35 PM

ar0ck 12-09-2008 06:35 PM

So far I still plan on being there with the camera as long as some of you guys can commit to purchasing some prints.

Haven't had the chance/been to lazy to change them and with this rain coming I'm probably just gonna wing it or borrow my buddies slicks because I really dont feel like getting stuck at Atco because I blew up one of your tires.

sweetbmxrider 12-09-2008 07:02 PM

hahaha whatever works.

yea, with the shape of those tires I don't think they'd handle too well in the rain we have coming in the next few days....especially the way I drive...lol. I may not be able to get the slicks so I may still use your tires. Whatever I do it'll be last minute. I plan on doing some weight reduction tomorrow, maybe I'll throw the tires on and see how they handle in the rain.

sweetbmxrider 12-09-2008 07:54 PM

......they wont do **** in the rain! be careful.

lol i know. So if I'm stupid enough to put them on tomorrow look for a post in the multimedia section with my car wrapped around a tree haha.

sweetbmxrider 12-10-2008 04:50 PM

ahhh....don't. that z28 looks too sweet to do that!

NJ346 12-10-2008 07:27 PM

Lol I ended up getting called into work so I didn't have time to swap them. I love myspace and these street "teams", I may be making some money at Atco on Sunday : )

Alex, what's the pricing gonna run? I'd definitely like to get some pics of the car.

Yea I think I'll be calling them to confirm everything is good to go. I don't need to go all the way down there and not be able to run.
