Yeah, my hypothermia last night kinda made me realize your CB was in.

crazyblazer87 01-14-2009 10:12 PM

I seem to remember someone being inside the garage for most of the night next to the wood furnace.

i don't think anything would break, but there is a higher probability of it happening in 15 degree weather then 50 degree weather. And since the cost of the truck plus upgrades is in the ballpark of $55,000 and the truck isn't even a year old yet and it's my only vehicle it would make the most sense to wait. If i had a field truck that would be a different story. I never took my SS out in the extreme cold either.

bad64chevelle 01-16-2009 11:23 AM

It will be too hot then, **** will overheat.

Why wheel the truck anytime then? **** can break any time it wants, especially when taking it offroading. More than just some sandy road.

in 100 degree weather possibly, in the 50-80 range probably not. i wouldn't go offroading in a 95 degree day in july either.

when i take it, i don't plan in beating the piss out of it then either. i'm going to hit some light trails and get some nice pictures of the pines and the the truck and thats probably it. If i had an extra or older truck then it would be game on, but in a 10 month old truck it's not gonna happen thats just idiotic.

jimmyboy8301 01-16-2009 11:29 AM

thats probably the extent of what i would do mud wise:

Then i wouldn't really recommend taking it to Wharton unless you stay on the main road, there are a few puddles. When it warms up, what looks like a nice watering hole usually tends to be 2'+ of water accompanied by the thickest foot or more of muddy awesomeness that really like to get things stuck. Innocent little areas can turn into broken axles/etc. Seen it, done it, just gotta be careful.

So what you are saying is your truck is all show & no go? oh look you got it wet and a little dirty! I bet you cried all the way home till you could wash that dirt off your pretty lifted "off-road" truck.

I need to make one for trucks.
