I honestly thought the Giants were going to win today...glad I was wrong. :)

well i got the 23 right  crap game imo

baddest434 01-11-2009 03:43 PM

my poor PATRIOTS

now just imagine san diego beating the steelers

you would have an 8-8 team playing a wild card team for the AFC champ

and for the NFC we already have an 9-7 team playing a wild card team.

quite possible for an wildcard vs. wildcard superbowl:shock:

fixed it for you Al.

BigAls87Z28 01-11-2009 04:23 PM

Sorry, I thought we were talking about Championship games, not Super Bowls, were we not?

The Bills did in fact win 4 straight AFC Championships.

BonzoHansen 01-11-2009 04:36 PM

So my football picks are proving to be terrible. Which was good news for beagle fans this week, but bad for next week as I pick beagles beat cards.

baddest434 01-11-2009 04:45 PM

your absolutely correct Al. the bills did win 4 straight AFC champ games. then proceeded to lose 4 superbowls in a row. remember "wide right" the worst 2 words you can say in buffalo

7998 01-11-2009 06:16 PM

I can't believe the Giants lost, But it is the NFL and even a third rate team like the eagles can can beat a great team like the Giants. I think the closest Mcnabb gets to a SB ring this year is shaking Kurt Warners hand next week. Go Cards!!

I still can't feel my toes or fingers.
Eli played like crap. The giants couldn't get a single yard when it mattered most.
The defense played extremely well, but field position played a huge roll in the game, and the eagles won that battle.

NastyEllEssWon 01-11-2009 07:27 PM

hahaha fun game. awesome stuff going on today. eagles take down the giants in the meadowlands and earn a trip to arizona. LETS GET BACK TO THE BOWL EAGLES!

TNTramair 01-12-2009 01:30 PM

you Giant Fans crack me the **** up. typical excuses.. "Eli played like crap..." "the offense wasnt workin..." blah blah blah. how bout you give a little credit where credit is due....the Eagles Defense shut them down. i dont think ive ever seen a team not be able to convert on a 4th and a c*nt hair....and the Birds shut em down...not once, but twice!!!! both offenses struggled but we prevailed. Giants missed 2 field goals...ok, we'll give them to you, here 23-17..u still lose. Giants defense played great but gave up a few key plays and that was the differance. take your lumps like a man and admit when you've been out played....as the Giants were yesterday.

7998....thats right, this is the NFL and in the NFL the playoffs are a whole new season. thats when the real teams show up and "great" teams like the Giants fold under pressure. make sure you let Eli know Tee time is at 8 oclock tommorrow morning.

Yeah, so we can watch McNabb throw up in the huddle.

And what planet were you on in January 2008? I'm sorry man, but until the eagles win a superbowl I don't think you have much to say as far as "great" teams. If you wanna go by your own words then the giants were a great team three times, and the eagles were a great team...never!

well put

JL8Jeff 01-12-2009 03:33 PM

Nobody is making excuses, the Giants did not deserve to win. Eli is the team leader and he did not do his job. Therefore it falls on him. Giants coaching staff also called some bad plays at critical points in the game so they are also to blame. Yes, the Eagles defense played well and they deserve credit without a doubt. If this turns into an Eagles/Baltimore SuperBowl, it might be the lowest scoring ever! It would also make for a nice cross-town type of rivalry as well. But the Eagles have to get past the old man to make it to the big game still!

LS1Hawk 01-12-2009 03:42 PM

The key play in that game was the Giants letting the Eagles convert on 3rd and 22. If the Giants stopped that it would have been a different game. But that aside, the Giants played like crap. I love my Giants, but they just didn't have it in them yesterday.

i love my giants too, and I agree with you. We didn't have our stuff yesterday, and didn't deserve to win. We need to get a WR in the offseason...

that comment was directed toward 7998 who called the Eagles a 3rd rate team....well, what does that make the "great" Giants THIS YEAR if they just lost to a 3rd rate team???
im on the here and now planet...im not worried about what happened last year. but, if 7998's comments hold true, the Giants were the 3rd rate team last year and they went all the way.....so we'll see what happens this year.
