LAWLZ.....

Don't be THIS and you can get promoted.....

FYI - it took me 36 months to pick up E-4, and 11 months to get E-5. That was in 95 (when I got Sgt). Picked up E-6 beginning of 99 (selected in 98). This is, of course going in Sept 90. Not too bad for having office hours at my first duty station (within 2 months of being there). 45 days restriction, 45 days EPD, 1/2 months pay for 2 months, 1 month of that suspended. Just for flipping a govvie doing donuts

Anyways....it doesn't matter where you are in the war....when its your time, its YOUR time. Just don't expect someone to hold your hand. You man up and deal with it. Part of the job......

wtf do you mean by that? grunts and motor t are the two hardest jobs in the Corps. well mechanics atleast, drivers are the laziest sons of bitches i know.

definitely stay away from the Corps if you are just looking for that "oh i was a Marine" bragging rights. we do NOT take just anyone. and all can pick up a weapon and fight.

****, im a HMMWV mechanic, and a machinegunner, oh and gate guard, and everyone does firewatch.

I agree, those are real jobs in the Marines. Sissy POAG jobs that don't require a lot of training are the jobs i was referring to as not being a real Marine Corps MOS. I was Data Dink, still was trained to kill people, still would have killed people if i had to.
