EDIT: Sorry to hear your mom had cancer, glad she beat it and is ok. :) |
Ok so how low is the percentage of people that it really isnt their fault? Saying that cars should be tailored around obese people because a few of them arent at fault for their weight is like saying that A establishment wont allow blacks to make use of their services because a small percentage follows a bad stereo type.
It seems a lot more ridiculous when you look at it flipped. I dont see anyone making a Tall model of a corvette for my just cause i'm 6'6". Now thats something I really cant help. Btw when my window minimized I thought you rick rolled us.... |

She did struggle at first, but after a few pep talks from me ( ) I told her how to get it under control. She lost the weight that she gained while she was on buttload of meds (she'll be on them for the rest of her life) and all exercise she did was walking at 3mph, and do everyday stuff that she does. I know people on both sides of the fence, but it's really slanted towards laziness.
One guy struggles to lose fat even when he works out heavily and eats a very strict diet. Parents are heavy, it's genetic, he's got a tough road to drive. Most of the other people I know who are fat (I won't use the term overweight) are just flat ****ing lazy. No good excuse and a million bad ones. |
Noone can get fat everyones just big boned. Have Al Gore repeat and it'll be true! He invented the internet you know?!

So the guy in steroids is better because he got off of his ass? He'll end up being a drain on the healthcare industry just like obese people will be ;) You also proved my point by stereotyping people...so because someone is obese they live a life of sitting at home and living a life of gluttony? Dude...c'mon.... Quote:

and you just contradicted yourself about people being on steroids. what im getting at is you used someone as an example in your comparison- the guy on steroids working out at the gym. Working out at the gym is alot more than what obese people can say for themselves. This is what i say to those who complain and do nothing about their weight. Obese? yes. you wanna lose weight? yes. Well stop eating so goddamn much, get off your fat lazy ass and work out. you can even watch tv while youre on the treadmill!! |
Well, im going to eat, pop my roids and go to the gym because i was a dork in highschool and always got picked on. ill be on later to argue some more haha
|
Respect of your body is what it comes down to. You are what you eat.

But you're ASSuming that the obese person just sits on their ass. Maybe they do what they can. I can't work out anymore...am I lazy? Hell I have trouble opening up a soda bottle at times :( Does that mean I'm lazy? ;) I understand your point all I'm saying is that it's a bit ****ed up to sit there and look at someone and say they're lazy just but looking at them. I guess by your thinking most people that are on government assistance are just leeches and lazy asses that refuse to work right? |
If you make em bigger for bigger people, make the prices bigger

First off the covering reporter (brunette blue eyes) looks 10 times better after they cut back from the video clips than before, I mean am I right or am I right?
Now to the issue. As Tsar stated earlier, being overweight boils down to calories vs calories out. If you are consuming less than you burn in any given day, you will lose weight inevitably regardless of if it happens in a week or years. So to address the issue, I believe that being overweight is a personal issue. On the comments about government intervention (do they really require different options to be made available?) Anyway, Car manufacturers should never be required to accommodate to any individual specific case. If they so choose to cater to a given population than so be it, but never should be required to do so (ie modification of car design, requirement for accomodating options being avail.) |
Why is this even on the news? It's pretty damn obvious, what is Kia going to "keep working on it" and end up doing?

what the hell was this lady thinking buying a kia rio when she knows she is well over weight just because she likes it? i like dunking in basketball but i am way to short to ever do it but you don't see me saying that they should make the regulation hoop height 8ft just for me
|
Well.... this wasn't really suppose to be "why are people fat" discussion, we all know that. It's because they consume too many calories. If they had calorie deficiency they would not be able to gain weight...
This was suppose to be about the program posted. I guess I'm glad that no one thinks that a car maker should cater to a specific group of individuals who are not satisfied with their product for one reason or another. Especially correctable reason that is upon the individual to correct on their own time. |
Something like this happened at my work once before. Someone came in and had a 300C with auto high beams on it. The system operates by a "camera" detecting oncoming lights and turning the high beams off. After trying to figure out what was wrong and finding nothing it came to my attention that the owner was a bit on the heavy side. This through the alignment off for the camera so it couldn't detect the oncoming lights. So instead of having the customer sit in the car while I realigned the camera we just had a couple of guys sit on the driver's side of the car and then i realigned it.
Was that to hard to figure out so the lady didn't feel so bad about herself. Now that lady is going to probably sue or something and she will probably win. |

It's not like a dealership sold her a lemon/defective car, she's the one to blame in this situation. No? |
I'm overweight does that make me a lazy pos??
We had to align a car at work with the guy in it cuz he weighed like 500lbs. |

2. We would need more information. But you already know the answer for yourself. If one is overweight that means they don't take care of themselves. Simple as that. Now move on. Quote:

2. No It dosent mean that well not in my case anyway for alot people it is but not all. No he didn't he was ok with it I think he understood that him being the was he was that it had to be done to fix the car correctly since he wasn't going to do anything about being 500lbs. He was driving a town car |
