well i used to work for gamestop a couple of years ago... anyway usually, the shrink wrapper quality between the factory and the one they use at gamestop (or the ones they used during my time....man i feel old) were completely different. you can tell. maybe not the customers but if you've been around them for awhile you can.
btw its been awhile so maybe its change....haven't been in any retail store in over a year, im in the philippines :D
as an added note..i've seen companies send empty boxes with the factory shrink wrap. one example was grabbed by the ghoulies for the xbox and it was used for display purposes. now why they actually shrink wrapped it is beyond me, but it did happen. so maybe you get a display box by accident but who knows
as a joke....we would usually leave a copy of the shrink wrapped empty game and "acidently" leave it by the fountan (well when ghettobrook still had the fountain) and watch people try to non chantly pick it up... i think out of 10 left packages, only 1 was returned... shows how dishonest people are :(
