it'll last a little longer behind a 4L60E than it would behind a T56, but its still gonna break.

Jersyboyy 03-30-2009 02:13 AM

Auto with a 2800 stall...im thinking itll break eventually but I wouldnt worry about breaking it any time soon unless YOUR TRYING TO! Esp with just bolt ons better chance with the heads and cam tho but still. I say right now no.

If you lend me some tires we can try on my car.... ;)

sweetbmxrider 03-30-2009 09:22 AM

That might take the trans out with it too:shrug:

69BirdX 03-30-2009 06:26 PM

well regargless after the 10 bolt goes then the trans will. thats why i worry about mine. So kill two birds with one stone haha

My 10 bolt is pretty strong. Has 180K on it and have done about 35 1.9X 60' launches this year. I will test it next time at the track with the new master cylinder so I can actually launch the car into the 1.7X range. But I have an extra 10 bolt...granted it's 2.73's, that'll probably be pretty hard to bust.

Anti_Rice_Guy 03-30-2009 07:45 PM

Foxriderry's Formula had 170 or 180k miles and still had the original 10bolt, and was beat on, and raced.

Jersyboyy 03-30-2009 11:04 PM

I had a 1.8 60' with my stock non posi 10 bolt 3.08 I beat the CHIT out of that car with that 350, it had 100k + on the rear too.

NJ Torque 03-30-2009 11:41 PM

1.6X's on a stock rear... full weight car.

DevilDougWS6 03-31-2009 12:22 AM

i can get you a fragmentation grenade...im sure that will work fine.

sweetbmxrider 03-31-2009 10:28 AM

 grenade my rear with a grenade! i like it!

Pampered-Z 04-02-2009 10:00 AM

LOL! From the pool it looks like You are an itiod

The only real way to fine out is to take it to the track. If it breaks, then it was a bad idea.

ProjectZ ran a couple years with slicks going 11s, I broke an axle and split an Alburn Pro within 6 passes on the blower motor without launching hard!

sweetbmxrider 04-02-2009 10:06 AM

well thats reassuring

It will last a long time behind an auto if it were an m6 id say no. Scandalous racing had a stock 10 bolt in the green lt1 car that ran low 10's

sweetbmxrider 04-15-2009 06:33 PM

sweet! auto does have a plus side!

1984camaroz28 04-15-2009 07:20 PM

it will last awhile... ..
