However, that is from a points race at Maple Grove. A lot of talent in the points brackets.

The faster car only has the advantage of being able to see the whole race.. you can't say that slower cars are more consistent, if the cars set up right, everything should be able to run within a hundredth or two. My car is consistent to the point that I can dial in the thousandths with weights, and as sliderule (pamperedZ) said, most people who run the faster brackets hold a good amount. personally i'm not a fan, and I trust my car.

Perspective from the slow car. I see the whole race and it's "infront" of me. I position my mirrors out to see the car comming up from behind. I look forward at my incremantals, stripe, and my opponent (in the mirrors). I can hold a lot (.02-1.50) and it's easier for a slower car to scrub ET. I try to dial a soft number that I know I can make and adjust with the brake pedel on the top end either by dummping just before the finish line or taking a .010-.019 MOV.

79CamaroDiva, OK you trust your car and say you dial .01 hard to be "safe". What happens when you stage a little too deep? Suddenly your now .04 over. Just a thought. :) I also dial on 5 numbers , always round up, and then put some in the bank. Not right or wrong just how I roll.
