LTb1ow 09-05-2009 06:54 PM

Fuse #5 eh, hmn ok, Ill go check.

LTb1ow 09-05-2009 06:58 PM

Nope, that was a good fuse.

sweetbmxrider 09-05-2009 07:03 PM

LTb1ow 09-05-2009 07:08 PM

JerzLT1 09-05-2009 08:08 PM

hopefully theyll warranty it since its like a month old

Blacdout96 09-05-2009 08:13 PM

There have been a few instances in the past month at my store about fuel pumps or certain sensors on the sending unit going bad, turns out they didn't change the wiring harness. Apparently for any of our warrenties to work for the fuel pumps, you have to change out the wiring harness, not sure why, but you might of pooped it if you kept the same harness. looks like you'll have to drop the tank and hotwire the pump to see if it runs. hopefully we didn't get a bad batch, my pump wont be going in for months, so who knows by then.

How much time have you put on that pump since install?

same here i wont have mine it for probably 2 or 3 months either...

ib4200 09-05-2009 08:18 PM

so who is gonna buy the one left over lol? did anybody else install theres?

LTb1ow 09-05-2009 08:50 PM

I am hoping they send me the leftover one, still waiting for a response...

And I used the stock wiring, so the pump if anything should be running at less that full load...

transmaro93 09-07-2009 07:24 PM

If you want i'll send out the new fuel pump out to you this week if you plan on dropping the tank this weekend so that way you can get it back on the road quicker.

Sorry to hear about your misfortune, I never really heard about any problems with Walboro fuel pumps, I have the same fuel pump in my GN and its been in there for 5 years now.

Just shoot me a PM with your address and I'll have Matt send it out tomorrow.

LTb1ow 09-08-2009 10:22 AM

PM'd you Devin.

Thank you for the support, nice to have a sponser like that.

Blacdout96 09-08-2009 02:04 PM

Actually Devin, thats brings up a good question, what's the warrenty on the pumps?

nj96z28 09-08-2009 03:17 PM

Ive got the same pump , ran it w/o the hot harness for a year plus with no problems. But now that Ive typed that........

siguy 09-08-2009 03:51 PM

dumb question how do you know its the fuel pump? ....

LTb1ow 09-08-2009 03:54 PM

Relay checks out, fuse checks out....

New pump as of a week ago... old one worked fine... just died on me, no sound when you prime it, nada.

Dead fuel pump.

siguy 09-08-2009 03:55 PM

also if it's the fuel pump you don't have to drop the tank to gain access to the fuel pump.. do what i did and go through the top it takes about an hour to do the whole thing... then cover it with a piece of sheet metal you can get from home depot ..... i dont have the picture of the completed item but you can get the idea ... plus it does not harm anything and also you will have future access if you need to replace or upgrade later

did you check out the pictures? most shops do it this way (maybe a little neater cut but the same same way ... very easy and it does not hurt anything? just my 2cents .....

LTb1ow 09-08-2009 04:06 PM

Yup, I am fully aware of the method you are talking about.

Just don't like cutting my car.

OK no problem. just food for thought to save you some time ......

LTb1ow 09-08-2009 04:10 PM

I know the option is there... I have half assed a lot on the car, and have been trying to put a stop to that recently...
