For a lexus i like it, alot.
|
That cars bad!!!!...dont think there kidding
|
they lose money on all 500 cars they sell. it isn't meant to be a gtr or zr1 fighter, it is a novel and unique offering which people will buy simply for rarity
|
Sounds sexy... whats the MPG?
|
its a street version of their f1 team lmfao
|
i like it. its its lack of relevence in the real world that gives it its appeal. the fact that everyone in here doesnt like it makes me like it more  the car is loud, low, fast and stupid in every category.....i love it
edit: as for tsars comment i agree. i think the 8C competizione A/R are one of the sexiest cars in the world. especially the drop top |

easily explains why you like it :D |

and then maybe not quarter, then do a circle track, i dont care, just race the damn car against other cars! geez its a damn race car, corvette didnt make their cars to be luxury, they made it to go fast, bentley's are made for luxury, rolls royces are made for luxury, not some tiny sardine can with a v10 strapped on the back |
the point is that those people that can afford a 400k dollar car would probably buy a ferrari if they wanted an all out stripped down race car...they probably already own one....this cars exactly the reason you said. all the high end luxary cars aren't ''race cars.'' this cars for the people that get tired of sitting on their rock hard ferrari seats with no forgiveness

if i really wanted to put it down, by saying i'd want it to race another car, i'd say go against the bugatti veyron. im not putting it down or trying to say race it so that it loses, the ZR1 is around 100k, try comparing that. just like when car and driver compared the hyundai genesis coupe vs. the infinity G37 |
im not good with my ferrari models so ill have to get back to you with what models im speaking of....but i do know that i have read that some ferraris come with windows that dont even roll down and are very thin on features.
edit: i cant tell any of the ferraris apart really |

Well, the F40 and Enzo are far from the 360 Modena and some of the "Normal" Ferraris.
|
early f40s had plexi windows with a sliding opening, and later ones had manual glass windows....they all had kevlar one piece seats, and they did use "cables" to operate the door latches
|
Yeah, the F40 was a true supercar, no doubt about it. On some, the paint is so thin, you can see the carbon fiber showing.
Twin turbo V8 sharing the same space you are, not cut off like in modern cars. True 6spd manual trans with the Ferrari gated shifter. I would love to drive one...really would. But a modern Ferrari? The 599 GTB Fiorano is probably the best Ferrari made to day, even eclipsing the Enzo. http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_1XknPAfZhc...2Binterior.jpg http://www.sportscarcup.com/cars/fer...ano-racing.jpg Stats on the 599 GTB 6.0 V12 making 611hp and 488ftlbs of torque. This car was the first vehicle to use the GM-Delphi Magnetic shock system for performance application, opening the door for the system used in the ZR1 and the Audi TT. (Corvette and some Caddys have had it for a while, but was more of a ride enhancing mode, but was never deemed capable of handling the stress of a race situation) They have a HGTE package released this year enhances an already amazing super car. Its base price is 309k, but that is without the optional Carbon Ceramic brakes, but even with it loaded with the HGTE package which gets you the CC brakes, upgraded suspension, comes in at under 370k. It is my #1 dream car as of right now. |
As far as Ferrari's go, the track versions of 360 would be 360 Challenge or more extreme would be GT, and F430 is also challenge, but I guess a more manageable street version would be the Scuderia. I believe both of those come pretty stripped down...

Dream Car is the 599 GTB by a large margin. Waiting list is 3 years long now.
Ill take a Camaro in the mean time... |
the people that are going to buy this are Jay Leno, and other SERIOUS car collectors, a few celebrities, and a few Toyota fan boys with WAY too much money, and will crash it. I doubt its made to be serious competition in the supercar. I'm wiling to bet that for a V10 its under powered. I wanna know why they don't have HP #s, 1/4 mile times, and lap times from "the ring". Nissan was balls out after corvettes. why aren't they making claims?

When I went to Monteray two years ago, they had it's concept vehicle out there in it's polished aluminum body, and was dead sexy, but the $400,000 was not mentioned, it was actually suppposed to be around $250,000 when they were planning on making it. |

Someone said they cloced an unofficial time of 7:24 around the ring... once again, that's unofficial, they don't want to produce numbers that say why pay 4X's the amount for a ZR1 and have a car that can achieve the same numbers....when I can go out and buy 4 ZR1's? The car is a thing of beauty, no doubt, BUT, it's price is not justafiable for what it is, even if we know the numbers or not.
