but im not feelin the hood on the "z28" dont like the vents

No...Z28 is an RPO code. It came after Z27 aka the SS trim package.
Z28 RPO code is like LS1, G80, Z71, LB9, LT1, 9C1, B4C, etc etc...
It just became bigger.

I dont think it would be a flop, especially when Ford shows off the GT350 in a year or so with the Ecoboost V6 in it.

Knipps 11-03-2009 10:16 PM

GT350 isn't the GT500

BigAls87Z28 11-03-2009 10:41 PM

And the Z28 shouldnt be the GT500.

QFT!

The Z28 should be more like the Mustang's Track Pack.....

BigAls87Z28 11-03-2009 10:52 PM

Mustang is looking to launch a handful of cars.
1) new Mustang GT with 380-400hp 5.0 V8
2) new Mustang Boss with same power, lighter weight aka what the Z28 should be
3) new GT500 next year which will be ligher and more powerful then this years GT500.
4) Ecoboost powerd GT350, which willa ctually be done all by SVT, only with Shelby's name on it.

tons of SEMA cars there.
Highlights
Camaro Dusk: this is the much talked about "executive" edition that Lutz said. It has a higher quality interior, aiming after the 3 series, A5 coupe area right now. No talk of powertrains, but the SEMA car has an upgraded leather seating, real aluminum trim, iPod cradle, and upgraded and tuned BA sound system.

Camaro Synergy debut the Atomic/Synergy Green color for Camaro, that will debut in Jan.

Camaro Chroma shows off the upgraded 21 inch wheels for this MY.

And of course...Leno Camaro, using a 425hp twin turbo direct injected 3.6 liter, the same engine that is in the LS/LT Camaros. GM has showed off several twin turbo V6 cars for a while. Its only a matter of time...

Also, Ford has shown off its production Cobra Jet factory drag car, complete with roll cage and slicks/skinnies.
Dodge showed the Challenger 1320, and yes...you guessed it...its a drag car too. 426 Hemi with 556hp.
There are also a handful of Ford cars that have been ran through the tuner mill a few times.

That notation was created way later than the Z28 RPO. Z28 was chosen because it was the next in line after Z27, which is the RPO for an SS.

7+1 = 8. There you go. LOL.

Z24 and Z34 were based on displacement, and then made an RPO code.
Cavi Z24 had a 2.4 Quad motor over the 2.2 pushrod, and the Z34 had the 3.4 DOHC engine.

ORLY!

cavalier z24 originally came with a 2.8 60 degree motor. it did all the way up until the thirdgen cavalier came out when it finally received the Twin Cam 2.4 which was a detuned quad with balance shafts.

The original Z26 RPO designated the late 60's and early 70's Nova SS which all had V8s

There are so many 2010 camaros here I wanna puke. For every nice one there are 10 tacky-ass nightmares.

IMO wheels make a huge difference on these cars. Many of the nicest one here are riding Forelgelines, who really do make some of the best looking wheels you'll ever see in person. $3500+ rings of sheer art.

A lot of the aftermarket hoods look better on V6 cars because of that dumb vent in the nose. A hole in the hood and the nose looks goofy.

The dash still sucks.

The Leno TT car is one of our favorites, undecided on the hood-Id rather have a stock one for a sleeper look. It also has upgraded brakes and tasteful rims. Sign me up

I like this car more than I did last week.

I'll post some pics when I return. For now I'm going to Joes Steakhouse in Caesars for dinner.

This is BonzoHansen reporting live from SEMA. Stay classy NJFBOA.

How the hell did you get in there!
Take a lot of pics of the Camaro Dusk, especially of the interior!

Nope, the old Cav Z24 had the 2.8 and 3.1 V6, I used to have an 89 Z24 with the 2.8 and with the 5 speed and chip it was a decent little car that got good gas mileage(33 mpg on the highway).

http://i77.photobucket.com/albums/j6..._3350Small.jpg

That is easily the best rear end treatment to these big assed cars.
http://i77.photobucket.com/albums/j6..._3352Small.jpg

Too many people around the ring brothers car to get a full shot. After seeing 2 of their cars all I can say is no one builds cars better than them.
