The opti would be the thing to cause the most head aches.

hey i said that it was not mine, lol anyways just got back from testing it out driving it. Not very good with a stick need practice but i'll get it. Only thing that is a problem is that the window on the drivers side the motor is just as good as dead. It makes it down about 3-5 inches and then you have to wait a while before rolling it back up. T-Tops are good, all lights work, the coolant light stays on even though he says there is plenty in the car i double checked that and it was true and the operating temperature went down after a few minutes or idling then we were off with driving. other than me sucking at manual i heard no odd noises and thought that the car ran very well. any offers of suggestions or questions to help me?

LTb1ow 11-10-2009 04:12 PM

Coolant low sensor is a stupid thing anyways.... they get gunked up and send false signals.

Window motors are a given on these cars at sucking.

Brendan713 11-10-2009 04:15 PM

how much would it cost to replace the "cursed" motor?

Mike 11-10-2009 04:21 PM

motors are around 40 bucks.... if you dont do the work you can figure on around 100 for parts and labor

Brendan713 11-10-2009 04:24 PM

i'll get 'er done myself any other comments ANYONE?? Come on is this a good buy? Trading my Jeep which is worth $2500 then paying him $1500 i was thinkin i might try and drop it down to 1300

Mike 11-10-2009 04:39 PM

if the car felt good, and looked good, i would say go for it. the two problems you listed are VERY common and easy to take care of

if its what you want. do it

Brendan713 11-10-2009 06:24 PM

im doing it and btw the car is nearly complete bone stock which im cool with so i can play around with it a little bit and the exhaust i am unsure of it looks like a skinny horizontal rectangle black two pipes one on each side stock or aftermarket?

LTb1ow 11-10-2009 06:26 PM

Could be either.

Brendan713 11-10-2009 06:28 PM

i guess i'll have to ask him, even if it is stock i am happy because im still just 18 and can have a car thats considered a rocket by my dad ya kno gotta keep things on hte Down Low

sweetbmxrider 11-10-2009 06:37 PM

stock exhaust i would bet.

fmybody 11-10-2009 08:12 PM
