We got 2 inches of snow...... yes, just 2 inches of snow - what a crock

Jersey Mike 12-21-2009 08:56 AM

quit complaining, I can't move my car b/c the parking lot isn't plowed and if I move the car, my spots going to get taken & I'll have to re-shovel-out a 10'x6'x9" block of snow just to have a place to park again

69BirdX 12-21-2009 11:33 AM

2 inces damn i got 2ft

BonzoHansen 12-21-2009 12:17 PM

I got over 4 feet of snow. In a pile. At the end of the driveway. Courtesy of the town DOW. My neighbor did too, she called and raised hell with them. So another crew greeted me at 730 this morning and remedied the problem and apologized.

I suppose I could have tried to jump it Dukes of Hazzard style.

It appears any house that had a pile of leaves preceeding the driveway got similar presents. Nice. Next time I'll leave my truck in the street and block the plow like the guy across the street does with his escort. He had no issues!

Damn, your plans to sit and watch your wife shovel 2 feet of snow were thwarted.

My town did the same deal, but my neighbor came by with his hotrod snow blower and took care of it. Good neighbors FTW.

I would have done that tonight if they had not showed up. But the pile of leaves that was part of it sure would have caused trouble. See the town is behind on leaf pickup as well. What pissed me off the most is they did this well after midnight last night - a good 24 hours after the snow ended. No chance to clear it before work & school. Totally unacceptable.

That's REALLY behind on leaf pickup. It's December!

 hey you should have seen the driveways at work. major highway + state plows ftl. i literally had to dig a five foot pile a foot wide because the sidewalks need to be cleared via town ordinance. im gunna sleep like a baby tonight!

I don't think Ewing is even half done picking up leaves either. I'm on a county road and it still wasn't cleaned up very well this morning. I put the leaves across the street for this very reason. I think the towns and county have skeleton crews working to try and come in within budget at this point in the year. I don't think snowblowers work with leaves very well, but I could be wrong. The storm coming up later this week could be a mix, so just think of all the storm drains that will be clogged up if we get heavy rain.

creeper 12-21-2009 03:22 PM

LTs1ow, are those 555r's on the rear of your car? don't they crack in below-freezing temperatures?

LTb1ow 12-21-2009 03:28 PM

MT ETs, and I ddon't know but it does worry me.

Just fixed the 4wd in the Jeep, tested it out on the 2 feet of virgin snow on the side of my house ...

Yea, our street hasn't been touched for leaf pickup either, but the plow drivers went around most of the leaf piles on the street as if they were parked cars.

When I shoveled out the driveway I went about 2' into the street all around the base of my driveway and that eliminated most of the pileup.
