Pretty cool, but apple is ghey.

Wonder how long it will take MS to play catchup.

Actually, Microsoft has been way ahead...

I first heard about surface well over a year ago.

Apple just went and made it mini and portable... and ghey.

T69SS 01-27-2010 09:47 PM

I will probably never end up buying it, but if i did i would definitely wait till all the bugs are worked out and they drop that rediculous MSRP. Everything an Iphone is... ghey

No USB, no Flash support....no thanks.

It "looks" cool but Apple is behind other companies. But who cares, I mean it's Apple...they could **** in a box, market it as the latest in technology and the Apple fanbois would rub one out to it.

Do not want.

Total unnecessary waste of money just like the iphone. Most of us rely so heavy on this kind of crap..if it was all gone in a day noone would know what to do.

I agree, that ipad is aimed directly at that cult-like following apple has developed over the past few years. The group willing to pay any price for Steve Jobs' latest creation

LT1low: first MS has to figure out how to make software that won't crash and isn't riddled with security issues...... then they can focus on proprietary computers, fix the zune and then think about maybe one day trying to make their own tablet.

yeah.. when you have 90% of users using your OS guess it'll take a while

The iPad is a 500+ dollar ipod touch....

It's like a really really cool laptop that can't multi-task, has minimal storage capacity, is twice the cost of my 15" laptop I'm using right now, no USB ports, and no expandability.

but it's really cool.

You don't have to carry around a laptop now? That's like saying because I got a new pen I don't have to carry around this pencil.

I don't get it... It's just a big iPhone? Am I missing something here?

g

Knipps 01-28-2010 06:39 AM

Fujitsu may have sold them the name. iPhone was owned by Cisco and sold Apple the name for millions

Well they are selling a product under that name. How can they sell the name and not rename the product they are advertising/selling?

I guess we will see.

you would think that.

you're becoming an iZombie.

Dark_Knight7096 01-29-2010 09:37 AM

it's a gigantic iPod touch with almost the same memory. For the more than 4x size I should be getting more than 2x the memory. Besides at 2x the memory we are how many times the cost of a 32gb touch?

But it's apple, and they will tout the movie watching ability, I'm sure they'll get netflix on board so it will do well in the college student market.

NastyEllEssWon 01-29-2010 09:41 AM

lol why would that thing have a phone function on it anyway. could you imagine holding that thing up while talking.
