His loss
|
id offer a 50 percent refund with him offering shipping. its not your fault but it looks good if you ever decide to do more business on the site....and you can always list the pcm back up to get the other half of the cash back. this way everyones happy, you get some good feedback by rectifying a situation that wasnt YOUR problem, you still have the part, some cash and maybe he'll let you use that grille shell later on for being such a nice guy.
everyone wins. |
I agree with everyone else. Keep his money and tell him he is stuck with it. Not your problem.
He can always sell it himself and probably make his money back... |
after doing some thinking how about this......
i line up a new buyer, i then relay the buyer to him and he deals with it from then on? or basicly i help him buy it. i was gunna say ill offer 50 back until its sold but then that could easily turn around a bite me in the ass cuz he could get the money and id only get 50 for the item....item was sold for 125 shipped. |
I dunno. No good deed goes unpunished. If that thing is damaged then what?
Tell him to pound salt. |
i told him what i just said and he said thats good enough. so im trying to find a buyer.

Not sure how feasible this is, but:
have him send you the PCM back. If it's in working condition refund a percentage of his money (75%?) and keep the 25% for yourself. Then re-list the item for sale once you've established it's fully functioning. If it is damaged/unusable, then send him back the PCM and keep the money. Nothing you can do for him since you can't take back damaged goods. :2cents: |
