If the parts that I took off are good I usually save them. Thankfully I saved my old distributor module, I put in an Accell module and it blew up last week. Had it towed back to work and put the old one back in. Back up and running in 10 min

If the car they came off of is worth anything I'll save them. I saved all the stock parts from the Firehawk and ended up giving them to the guy that I sold the car to in case he ever wanted to put it back to stock. It ended up filling the bed of his truck when he came and picked up the car lol Parts for the new car however will be for sale.

Exactly what I was going to say. This is a first for me. The 1LE is the 1st car I've had where stock parts were worth saving. Everything that comes off is going in a box for when I sell it. If you have a special edition or something rare, save everything. If not, sell the parts you can, junk the rest.

Yesterday, I stored the oe exhaust, drive shaft, ring & pinion, and differential in the shed. Probably wouldn't get much if anything for them on ebay anyway.

Maybe in a few years if the car is still nice, someone will want to restore it back to oe. Having the oe parts will make it more valuable.

If you do place them in a shed, you'll have to contend with RUST attacking everything. Trying to sell STOCK parts on eBay is huge waste of time, because everybody wants them for next to nothing and the cost of shipping will drive away most customers. Also the car is not a FIREHAWK or Special Edition so that the value of what is coming off can be found in most bone yards.

May be a waste of time for 3rd and 4th gen guys but not for 1st and 2nd gens. Stock parts pull decent coin because there's been many more years of them being crushed.

But even then, it depends on rarity and condition. I have a 4bbl manifold off of a 70 Nova SS 350 which is worth very little. An LT-1 aluminum intake is worth a lot more.

I personally saved everything that I replaced on my SS. Down the road if your car is in very good condition, there is always a person out there looking for an original car. Think of how many original F Bods are really out there even now, not many. I have also seen, surprisingly, a demand for stock parts because of just this. I sell lots of random parts that I think are worthless because they are stock, but have people travel to buy them off of me. Just the other day, I had a fellow NJFBOA member get a stock BOSE camaro radio off of me that I would have trashed thinking it was worthless. I say keep what you took off if you have the means of storage

None of the parts taken out of my car have been of any value greater than stock so junk it

Yesterday I was cleaning up the garage and took the OE exhaust (has 37K on it) and hung it on the wall in the shed. Its in great condition, and if/when the Magnaflow craps out I'll have a free replacement.

The magnaflow is built better then the stock crap. There would be other things to worry about before that happening.

No room to keep them and when i mod my car I have no plans for it to go back to stock so I sell them asap.

I agree it depends on how old your car is. When I bought my T/A the guy gave me 2 new sets of NOS weather stripping, including both doors, trunk, and hood to cowl (but of course not hood to shaker which is the one i need) but anyway, its all NOS and a guy offered me $800 for the set at a show last year. I got the guys number and sold it to him the next week. I still have the other set sitting in my garage still sealed
