The 3 stations in Closter got power back last night and are open, with long lines.

I'm waiting for the local BP station to run out of gas, then I'll go there with my Ram and get diesel with no wait.

I ended up going few towns over. No line for me, No wait at all. Sucks to be all the people who are sitting in line across the street. Haha

its amusing how crazy people can get. iv had 3 people threaten to kill me and a handful of others threaten to kick my ass or yada yada. the funny part about that is those who do so get no gas so the jokes on them.

How about up in the Jersey City area? I have a couple buddies who live up there that are looking for gas..

Tru2Chevy 11-02-2012 04:43 PM

Most stations in Ewing are open, but many are cash only with a $25ish limit per person.

I think my father and I are going to go out at 1am and wait on a line at one of the Valeros up by 202 on 17. Even if its an hour at that point, its better than 2 or 3 that people are waiting during rush hour.

MyFirstZ 11-02-2012 06:38 PM

Post up after ill check in the morning hopefully being a Saturday early morning it won't be to busy

+1 i went to a sunoco near me when they opened at 5a and waited for about 45 to an hour. my brother drove back 3 hours later and said the line was three times as long.

also ive been reading online that they are going to impose an odd / even day to fill up depending on the number for the last digit of your license plate starting tomorrow...im not sure if thats a rumor or fact

Stevoone 11-02-2012 07:10 PM

Just read that starting tomorrow at noon most northern counties are going to start rationing gas based on odd and even plates.

my brother went to Hess on 17 last night at 11:30, still a 2.5 hour wait

LTb1ow 11-02-2012 07:34 PM

Both rest stops south of 105 had minimal to no lines, and on 72 there was no lines at all.

Any place with a big line, didnt have any line at thd diesel pump, silly n00bz get a diesel rig

MyFirstZ 11-02-2012 07:36 PM

Dads trying now. Il go out early tomorrow morning pending what he says. I would stay out of it but I need to get to work.

The_Bishop 11-02-2012 07:39 PM

Well, it was a matter of time:

Gas rationing. WTF?

V 11-02-2012 07:49 PM

all my plates always ended with a letter.... i dunno how good of an idea this will be.

better idea would to just get power to more areas and as a result, more gas stations could open, and less need for gas for generators.

anyways... im glad i live 5 miles from the NY border. ill just get gas there.

mc73nova 11-02-2012 07:52 PM

edit, just noticed it above

MyFirstZ 11-02-2012 08:24 PM

Well my dad just got back. From what he just told me there are lines at gas stations that are awaiting a delivery.

Blackbirdws6 11-02-2012 08:27 PM

Snagged fuel with no line at the Shell on rt 1 and Franklin corner road in Lawrenceville.

Blackbirdws6 11-02-2012 08:28 PM

Also heard that Christie is doing the even-odd license plate deal starting tomorrow.

PolarBear 11-02-2012 08:46 PM

I just filled up no problem, no wait. The guy actually closed 15 minutes early as I left.

Not quite. There are still lines in NY and now the gas stations up in Chester and Goshen are dry. I hear Newburgh and Middletown have gas, though. Oh, and the lines on the Sloatsburgh service area aren't that bad from what I saw on my way home.

MyFirstZ 11-02-2012 09:00 PM

Forgot about them. If I don't fond anything guess that can be a last resort.

When was that ?
