Sheet metal is totally different. Outside of the fact that they share similar design cues (grill design and logo) they look different.
GMC has had a rounder fender flares and whatnot for a while, but now they are following the Chevy's boxed fender look. Probably saves a few sheckles too. |

I thought I said it before, and it's in the link, but the 4.3 is based on the Gen V engine, not the old 4.3. They wanted an engine that could hold up to the abuse. The 4.3 will be available in all cab/bed configurations too. Should make near 300hp.
