No idea why or how you would ever want a 93.

I know how to tune them....

why is that t56 'a rockstar'? isn't that the one with the steeper 1st gear? i'm not a t56 expert, but most other manual transmissions the versions with steeper 1st gears are weaker.

They are.

I decided to keep the car and for some reason I never saw all these posts.

Anyway I found some of this thread interesting... especially how I'd instantly fail inspection for headers? WTF?

I've passed inspection tons of times without much of any issue. I recently went and failed at idle but passed with flying colors during the "high idle" test. A leaky injector has been suggested to me so it's something to check out.

Depending on how long you've been around here I may or may not have met you. I believe I only went to 1 meet which was the very first meet at the Firkin Tavern in Ewing? That sounds familiar for some reason.

Anyway, I decided to keep the car and have invested some money into it recently to catch up on some maintenance that I haven't done in the past 10 years I haven't used the car.... hey can you believe that? 10 years! People who I've met in the past 10 years can't believe I actually have this car and have a hard time believing that I "didn't just buy this" until I can show them a picture from 2001 with me at a meet.

Hope to catch up with you guys and see you all around.

Cool to see you hung on to it! Post up some pics if you get the chance.

Regarding the headers, moving (or removing) the catalytic converters is a violation of federal law, and is therefore illegal.

Enforcement can be very lax on it though, with some states not even doing any type of emissions inspection at all.

I still have a cat and have always passed the "tampering" inspection.

Welcome to the haven't had the car at a meet since 10 years ago club!! lol

Glad you decided to hold onto her.

PS- A inspector *could* fail you for any deviation from stock..shorties with AIR/EGR included.
It is supposed to fall under tampering.

Have I ever failed someone for something like that? No. Can it be done? Yes.

Never know what kind of D-bag your up against on that given day. ;x
