Dash, Steering Column and Shifter are in.

2 more thing that need to be handled...

Saw this hanging out under the dash by the column, was only plugged in on 1 of the smaller connectors, so i removed it.

Any idea what it is/importance?

The one with blue tape is c250 for cruise control and the white one is c270 for clutch pedal position switch. So ya prob just manual trans shens you don't need now. Put it to the side for me :D

Next up is this section.

Obviously the yellow is for the airbag module, which is is gone so no use for that. But i am unsure of the others. Theres a light, which i thought would be thhe light for the shift pattern, but then i realized the a M6 harness, so there is no illuminated shift plate.

Any info?

I would ground the ground as its probably for multiple things. Light, center console?

Figured as much with the ground. The shifter plate itself a good enough thing to ground it to? Same for the shifter wiring.

I dont recall any of my cars having a center console light, but then again if they did it prob just was broken.

Also, seat belt buckle has a wire off it. Assuming this is only for either a warning light or a chime. Since car will eventually have harness instead of normal belts, is snipping the connector and connecting the 2 wires together acceptable here ?

Run all grounds back to the battery

sweetbmxrider 06-26-2017 05:12 PM

Any good clean body ground works for me.

Maybe its for the shift pattern. I could swear my lt1 had a console light :-?

Send itttttttttt

Thats what i first thought nick, but the car is a M6 car, so there wouldnt be a light on the harness for a PRND blind.

Is there a light in the ash tray or by the power outlet ?

sweetbmxrider 06-27-2017 09:04 AM

I just checked mine, no light in console. Guess it must be for autos, nothing else is light from what I saw.

LS1ow 06-27-2017 09:05 AM

or maybe is the bulb that is used to back lit the HVAC shens ?

sweetbmxrider 06-27-2017 10:26 AM

Maybe, lt1s use smaller bulbs. I think 74s, two of em.

Blackbirdws6 06-27-2017 02:08 PM
